This was one of the many samples that were included with my birthday order. The samples are mostly “Mystery Sachets”. You don’t know what they are until you open the pouch. I saw mostly green in the sachet and thought it was green tea so I was pretty surprised to look it up and see that it is black tea and mate. The aroma was powerful and daughter and I were debating whether it was almond or amaretto. Surprise! Neither!
It says it is chocolate and chili. I have never been a big fan of spicy things so I was a little frustrated to see chili as an ingredient. WHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYY? But I try to keep an open mind and it smelled so good, so I went for it.
And…it is really tasty. The chili was almost undetectable at first. (Since there was only one sachet we resteeped and combined so we could each have a full teacup.) It was sweet and chocolate-y. As it cooled, I picked up the barest kick of heat, but nothing even close to frightening this wimp off. Youngest said she didn’t taste chili either until it had started to cool and she noticed at the back of the sip.
So far I am really liking this company. We may have to place another order.
the o dor has some fantastic teas!
yeah, but I just have to pause at the company name. So many ways to take that, one of which isn’t too encouraging!
