As it turns out, this doesn’t steep as well as a coldbrew. Half a perfect cup ouch (~2g), 400 mL cold water, 30 minutes and the water is clear. At 45 minute the water is very light amber, but smells fragrant. I think perhaps the flavour steeps out before all of the tannins.

Hot, it tastes more of cocoa shells and coconut, but cold is tastes very heavily of coconut filling in chocolate bars (very thick, sweet, overpowering coconut). It isn’t bad, but isn’t for anyone who doesn’t love coconut.

Flavors: Coconut, Cream, Creamy, Sweet, Thick

Preparation
Iced 8 min or more

Better as a latte than straight, although the tea is so finely ground no teabag or steeper will prevent tiny particles from forming a layer at the top of the cup.

Flavors: Cinnamon, Clove, Licorice, Spices, Spicy

So I don’t know what company made this tea, as the label is in Japanese, but it is pretty damn tasty. It is a herbal blend that smells of coconut, papaya, and peach. Brewed, I can really taste the white peach, a touch of hibiscus, stonefruits (apricot or some generic peach type of flavour), papaya, not getting much coconut. It made a fabulous iced tea, one of the best peach herbals I’ve ever had for sure, I think the distinctive white peach flavour + peach blossom in the background really does it. Why is it always the unavailable ones that end up tasting the best?

Flavors: Coconut, Fruity, Mango, Peach, Stonefruit, Tropical

Preparation
Iced

Profile

Bio

I studied biochem and botany at University with a focus on genetics and evolutionary biology. Now, I work in biology setting up labs for students. I love science fiction and spend too much of my time reading comic books. I’m a passionate keeper of spiders, cacti, and exotic plants. I eat a vegan, plant-based diet for moral and environmental reasons (I mention this only because it is relevant to which flavoured teas I drink).

I drink mostly flavoured and low caffeine teas/tisanes, but I will try anything twice. As far as pure teas go, I gravitate towards whites, yellows, and jade oolongs. Most of my teas are older and in smaller smounts, so I can’t offer samples of most blends. But you can still message me any time :)

My cupboard and stash spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HjWKR3um-xEnj6HC9vMvKXOAyj_bpW5u_2ixEC20-k/edit?usp=sharing are both outdated and I have not organized my current list of teas in several years.
Most of these are only tiny samples/I can’t always spare any, but feel free to ask.
