Leaves smell of ginger and mandarin. Very citrus. It with an almost floral component. Almost overwhelming. I got this as a sample with my order. I love the mystery tea bags btw. And Theodor doesn’t skimp on the goodies when they ship.
Anyway. When steeped the mandarin is tamed..the ginger quite so. I used 8 oz water for this steep and feel I should have used 6 perhaps. While the aromatics are heavenly it’s a little weak in taste. I would have brewed it stronger. Preference I suppose. Those aromatics tho. So delicately blended. It’s elegant yet playful. Girly but not saccharine. Floral but in no way overwhelming. And the flavor (tho I may have gone stronger) are so balanced and beautifully done. Like sipping mandarin without the zing. Like a sweet orange flower. The ginger loses a lot of its kick and it mellows out to support the other flavors that meld so well here. No astringency. Quite lovely. Would probably be very refreshing over ice as well. No need to add anything to this tea. I would consider purchasing it in New York or someplace in states if I came across it but probably wouldn’t be too tempted to order from Paris

Delightful!! Soft aromatic peach tea. Crisp and juicy. Not too heavy on the peach….it’s like a peach scented flower almost….except it isn’t floral. Almost like a peach blossom. So soft and delicate. No need to add anything. A pure cup of happy.

My morning sip today. The leaves smell invigorating and happy. Very citrus. I steeped about 5g in 8 oz for 4 min at 195.
Sipping hot, it’s so relaxing and there’s definitely the citrus. No astringency whatsoever. However there is not a lot of traditional oolong at the forefront. When hot the citrus is front and center…Not overpowering. Actually very very calming.
As it cools the oolong starts to come to the front. It’s a beautiful combination. A light citrus note with a sweet grassy flavor. I feel like I’m drinking a summer field…in February.
A delightfully calming and happy cup!

First of all….the SMELL!! Oh what glorious goodness!! Dry leaves smell very coconut but amazing…steeped the wet leaves smell a sweet vegetal oolong with a more rounded beautiful coconut. Sipping hot there’s overtones of sweeet sweet creamy oolong and cocnut. Cocnut is not overpowering AT ALL! It is very well balanced.
I put my leaves out to dry for my second steeping as I wont be able to steep again till later this afternoon. The smell of the leaves is intoxicating. I walk by them and swoon.
Will continue to sip as it cools. However, I have to run to take my son to school.

Ok this tea just got better with every sip. By the end of the cup it was sweet cream, butter, coconut, sweet grass….. And the aroma…I want to wear it. My new daily drinker. About to see about the second steeping…..

Not sure about this one. It smells amazing in the bag. I brewed about 3 g of tea in 8 oz…may adjust…I dunno. First run at this tea.

Sipping hot it is sweet. You do not need to add any honey etc. But it’s an odd sweet. I am considering calling to ask if they put stevia in this because it has a sweetness that I can’t place. It lessens as the tea cools tho.

I get apple pretty well. Wish the cinnamon and other spices would come through a little more tho. Was hoping for more “spice” in the apple spice. It tastes more like warm baked apples.

TBD

Ok either the sweetness subsides a lot as it cools or ’m just getting used to it. there is more cinnamon tones that linger after the sip. Warm sweet apples at the front and a cinnamon undertone. Perhaps the swwetness comes from hibiscus? Perhaps chamomile? I will have to take a closer look at the leaves. But it does seem to mellow. And I am slipping into a late night relaxed tea zen.

TDB….still.

AAAAAAAAAAND I just finished the tin. I have to say I have had this tea in my cupboard for a while. It’s been passed over many times. The other night my daughter had a sore throat and wanted hot tea with honey. I figured I would give her something relaxing with some ginger in it, Reached for this on a whim. Ended up making a cup for everyone, even myself…
Well…let’s just say that I drank this tea every night since till it was gone. The flavor is soothing and relaxing. I do like the cinnamon, ginger and licorice notes. Well balanced. Not incredibly strong or AMAZING but it’s a solid tea. Very appropriate for bed time. Enough so that I am ordering another 2 tins. I can stuggle with a little evening insomnia and every night I drank this tea……slept like a baby. Make sure you add half a tsp of raw organic honey….so delicious. Reminds me of cider.

I’m a cookie and dessert blogger from Texas….sort of. I love tea…always have…but since my husband and I cut out our nightly glass of wine the tea obsession has begun. Now I can’t get enough tea! I’m so glad I found this community. I learn a lot and it’s really fun.
