This is a really strong black tea – very malty, somewhat astringent, even with a 200 degree steep temp. I find I rarely use boiling water anymore for black tea for fear of the dreaded astringency. Alas, I can’t imagine what this one would have been if I had, as this was barely drinkable for me. Recommended for those who like a really strong tea and are more tolerant of astringency.
