81 Tasting Notes
Sold in Fairway, was curious about it. I enjoyed how each individually wrapped white paper Toucha was easy to add to hot water or travel with.
All Pu-Erh’s taste like a basement or brackish water, this was no different. It was a bit milder than other Pu-Erh’s I tried. I don’t think I would purchase again but it’s fun to try a variety of Pureh.
25.96/lb There was 12 bowls in the plastic container.
So, I had this sample tea laying around for quite awhile. It has some ingredients that I never heard of before:
Jatoba, Una de Gato, Tahari, Chanca Piedra, Stevia, Chuchuhuasi, Jatoba.
So this tea is made from bark of trees.

I think this tea is distributed by independent salespeople, like Amway or Avon.
Thanks, Nicole_Martin, for sample of this tea!
This week my taste buds have changed due to the snow and cold weather.
I chose this as the first tea of the day.
Like all Sencha’s – this one tastes great.
No sugar, sweeteners or milk needed.
This has a robust flavor, deep aroma, and dark green appearance.

Thanks, Nicole_Martin, for sample of this tea!
Cold day to enjoy something like this.
Tastes like a tomato broth.
I feel like Andy Worhol drinking this tea on my lunch break.
According to the packaging, everything is organic.
No need for sugar or milk.
Reminds me of my Dad who drank Sacramento Tomato Juice everyday and stained the glassware.
I liked the taste.
If you like the taste of Sacramento Tomato Juice, vegetable soups, V8 Juice, Campbell tomato soup or just eating a tomato raw, this might good for you.
A strong black tea grown at 3,300 feet in an African volcano! Tastes great with a drop of milk.
Drank this tea on Nov 6th, 2013 at the Steepster meetup. So now I’m here trying to find out more about this mysterious volcano and the tea, LOL.
I did add some milk, and the tea tasted like a weak Ceylon tea – didn’t have that buzz that I was hoping for.

Good for you for taking the plunge! Fairway’s tea section always strikes me as under- or poorly-marketed; tea labels don’t say anything besides the tea’s name, and the teas are just dumped in pint-size clear plastic containers, which is fine for olives and grated cheese, but not for a light- and air- sensitive product like tea.
yeah. We can kiss goodbye to even their pint-sized clear plastic container offerings after their plundering bankruptcy! Tea now marked up to $50/pound. Is it crazy?
Who was supplying the bulk tea to Fairway? It’s not Teapigs i don’t think b/c teapigs don’t carry pu erh.
