So this is my first taste of loose leaf tea. I let the boiled water sit for about 3 minutes to attempt to reach the 180 degree temp, and then steeped for about 3 minutes as well. Don’t know if I hit the right temperature, but thats what it’s all about, experimentation. The aroma of the dry leaves doesn’t really match the aroma of the tea in my opinion. But the taste is really nice. It’s very basic with a mild hint of the citrus flavor. It leaves a sweet aftertaste on the palette. Great introduction into loose leaf teas!

I’m not sure if this will be your cup of tea or not, but if you want more of a punch from the citron you can try 4.5tsp in 6oz of 160 degree water for 1.5min. I always enjoy reading 1st loose experiences! Happy experimenting!=D

Yeah a more citrus-y flavor would be awesome! I’ll try that next time. =)

Adagio was my intro as well- they’ll have you hooked w/ the frequent cup points:) Which can actually be a bad thing cuz I didn’t explore other companies til… well… steepster:)

Haha. Well I think I’m going to stick with them for a little while until I get some more experience and experimentation with loose leaves. But I’m definitely interested in branching out to other companies as well.
