I already left a review on this for 2016 tea but today I am trying the 2017 Premium Bi Luo Chun. I don’t know whether my taste buds are off lately or what’s going on but all the 2017 green teas I’ve tried lately have been okay but not up to par. So I decided I will switch over and gong fu them all. Go with the flow. Sometimes brewing in a cup with an infuser works fine. Now it’s not.

Brewed 4 g of leaves in a gaiwan at 80C 15 sec & 20 sec. Dry it smells very spinach like. It’s very sweet with asparagus and spinach notes. There’s a light fruity astringency too. Second brew was a little stronger than the first (more spinach like) which I liked.

So this one brewed in a cup (which I had earlier in the week) is merely okay. Brewed gongfu , definitely top notch.

Flavors: Asparagus, Fruity, Spinach, Sweet

Preparation
175 °F / 79 °C 0 min, 15 sec 4 g 4 OZ / 118 ML

Bio

Green teas are my favourite teas but I also enjoy: white, some herbal, rooibos, raw pu’erh, light oolongs, a little bit of black , and a little bit of ripe pu’erh. I have moved away from artificial flavourings and there’s hardly anything left in my cabinet with artificial flavouring or colours. It is mostly straight teas or tea blends.
