606 Tasting Notes
I have had a bad tea day. I don’t know what’s going on. Maybe it’s cause I went to the dentist this morning, but nothing has turned out right today. I made two separate batches of Check Mate (from Davids) and burnt them both! This is the first time I’ve done this, so it was really bothersome to me. I love Check Mate! Don’t worry, I haven’t given up on it, I will make it again and love it. I’ll just be sure to not burn it next time. I think I need to get a tea thermometer.
Any-hoo, then went on to make another tea that I loved in the past from another company, and it wasn’t good either! I just couldn’t get it to turn out. This made ma really sad.
So, finally I jumped over to this tea. My goodness! This is exactly what I needed. It is sweet and lovely and I added a mess of sugar to it, but I don’t care. I wanted something sweet and yummy and this did the trick! Finally a tea turned out today! And I don’t even care that it’s after dinner and I’m drinking a black tea. I needed something to work out!
Why can’t this tea be permanent…? Oh lovely pepperminty tea. I love you… Next year, if you come back, I will be purchasing more of you.
So I’m trying this tea for the first time today at work, and I think I made it too weak. I do get the amaretto taste from it, but I don’t find it to be that strong. I would have loved a stronger kick of flavour. I’m going to try it again before I rate it though. I think I need to make it a lot stronger.
Had this one again the other day with the girls at work. I made it very strong, and then added milk and sugar like I did with Santa’s Secret. It was amazing. Again, it was a lovely creamy candy cane of sorts but with a chocolately touch to it. Absolutely lovely. Almost like a chocolate mint patty!!
This tea is quite nice. The first time I drank it, I only noticed the graham cracker taste, and a little of the marshmallow.
Today, I can taste everything: the marshmallow, the graham cracker, the chocolate… It’s delicious. :) I think adding milk definitely helped too. It added a creaminess to it.
I like it! :)
I had this one this morning/early afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn’t really find this tea to be too memorable. I was struggling to taste the white chocolate pieces. But that also could be because I thought it was a dark chocolate in there… Oops!! Anyway, I did like that it did have a bit of a kick to it. Not in the hot spicy way, but it had an almost zing to it.
I’m not too sure if I’d buy this one again, as I have a few other chai teas that I do enjoy a bit more, but it was lovely to get to try this one. I might try what the other reviewer did on here and steep it longer just to see what happens. Maybe I’ll love it more when I do.
So, this is one from my advent calendar from December that I didn’t try. There were a few that the day I was suppose to have them, I didn’t want to try them, so they have been hanging around since, just waiting and hoping that I’ll find them, and want to try them.
Anyway, so I finally tried this one and it lovely. I agree with a lot of the reviews I read so far about this one. The lemongrass definitely was the main flavour coming through on this tea. But at the same time, I love lemongrass, so I don’t mind. I can’t really pick up much on the other flavours though. Like said before, the lemongrass is the first and really only flavour that you taste. Although, there is a bit of a lovely, subtle zing to it too, that I’m enjoying.
I’m having this one without sugar, which is unsual for me. Normally I add sugar to most of my teas, but this one I didn’t think of it, and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s so lovely on its own. Now I’m going to have some Three Lemon Green again, just to see how they compare.
I have had such a hard time figuring out this tea. I didn’t realize it was going to taste cinnamon-y, so that really threw me off. It smells lovely! The smell alone transports you to another place.
Like I said, the taste really gets me though. I do like it, but I have to get use to it. It’s really a strange tea.
So, it’s the end of January, and the weather is acting weird out there, and it’s been a long week at work. So, I thought I’d dive into this tea again, as it reminds me of warmer times and sunshine.
This tea has definitely helped me out today. It’s lifting my spirits a bit. It’s light and fruity and very delicious.
This tea is lovely. It has a smooth orangey taste to it. I didn’t make it too strong, but I know that if I made it stronger it would be even better. It is delightful. It’s a refreshing tea. And at the same time, warm and comforting.
I would LOVE to try it chilled. And maybe with milk and a little more sugar. I could see it tasting like a creamsicle.
