Nice pale yellow liquor with a wonderfully floral taste. But not too floral. Just right. Wish it was offered organic somewhere as I’ve been in an Oolong state of mind recently. I liked the third infusion the best and can probably get another three more I think!

Really nice tea. The dry leaf is basically a black tea with tons of golden tips. Quite attractive coppery liquor color. Great mouthfeel, awesome rounded caramel and tobacco notes is what I’m getting. I’m going to make a second cup now.

Enjoying a wonderful cup of this Pu’erh this morning. It’s not organic (I typically consume only organic foods and drinks), but, I haven’t found an organic Pu’erh that comes in the birds nest shape yet and I really like that special aspect of this tea (even if it has nothing to do with the flavor or quality….it still impacts the experience).

I read a few other tasting notes here and think that folks might be using too much of the tea. I use a Sorapot (newest coolest tea product I’ve purchased thanks to Steepster’s recommendation) and throw one nest in there unbroken. The first steeping is always my favorite as the color of the liquor is the beautiful rose pink (don’t over steep!). I then continue to steep another two or three mugs using the same nest (which is now broken up after the first steep) but only leave the water in the pot for about 30 seconds each time. These final steepings produce a much darker tea but it’s the perfect coffee substitute!

The tea has a nice rounded mouthfeel but it is definitely not too complex versus some of the other “rare” or “vintage” Pu’erhs I’ve tasted. If you’re looking for a first Pu’erh experience, this might be a good starting place. Just pay close attention to your steeping time of course.

This is one of my favorite green teas. Not cheap but worth it for special mornings (like today). I steep it a little longer than some of my other greens without any detriment which is really nice. This morning, I notice that the liquor has a wonderful straw yellow color, a nice rounded fullness in the mouth, and there is an excellent balance of vanilla head notes with a soft maltiness that just lingers on forever. Mmmm…so good.

I dig my Pu’erh in the mornings. Thanks to Pu’erh, I haven’t had a cup of coffee in two years. I steep this a little long and truly enjoy the experience. There’s a nutty smokiness to this Pu’erh that has made me buy it more than once.

I think everyone would agree that you either love Lapsang Souchong or you hate it. I happen to be someone that loves it. And, there’s nothing better than having a nice cup of this tea looking at a roaring fire early on a Sunday morning. The pine smokiness is heavy (as it’s supposed to be) but, so far this is one of the better organic Lapsang Souchongs I’ve tasted.

Every night, I used to drink this tea like it was the elixir of life, but, then they changed the ingredients and now it’s way too flowery and sweet to enjoy. And it used to knock me out at night but now it’s just a mild relaxer. I guess some will like it but I miss the old recipe from Teas Etc. Now what am I supposed to do with the 2 lbs. I ordered last fall?

This is a great green tea to start off your day with. At least, I’m starting off my cold overcast Saturday with the warmth and peachy notes of this completely drinkable tea.

Beautiful dry leaf appearance. The liquor is golden and smooth. Not much as far as mouthfeel but a sort of peppery honey quality to it. Absolutely delicious.

I drink this tea at night all the time. It’s sweet slightly nutty liquor is the perfect thing to wind down at the end of the day. Zero caffeine, tons of anti-oxidants, and a great warm flavor….it’s perfect for when I want something sweet but am avoiding the calories.
