This is a fav! A lot of the other Douji teas hurt my wallet, but these bricks are a cheap way to drink. This 1 is still pretty young, but it is getting better as time passes. I have a new brick of this on the way; 250 grams of goodness :)

I have a sample here from them I still need to try.

I liked this tea, as you said its smooth and excellent for beginners. One criticism would be how tightly the tea was packed. Ive drank hundreds of bricks but have never encountered a tea that was so hard to break!

The price of this tea is totally crazy by now, as the cakes of this tea are probably in the several hundred dollar range. (357g puer cakes) I just used up my last of this small sample and I have to say it is good tea. But, with a qualifier, that it is far too pricey. There are other outlets with better Ban Zhang tea, but for the main stream, Douji is great. Better than Chen Sheng Hao.

I can not make up my mind about Douji. Their teas are better than Menghai or Zhongcha or the other factories, but their prices are so high. Then, if you dip into their less expensive teas (see above) the quality is just ok.

This is good enough to drink, and it is a decent daily tea. Just as a point of reference for frequent steepster users, this tea is about 5 times better than anything offered by most American tea retailers, but if you compare it to all the other puer tea out there, it is just a hair above average.

First, I have no idea what “naturally organic tea leaves” means….as opposed to naturally inorganic? Whatever.

This tea won’t age well, I think. It can not even really make it through five infusions before it is dull and kinda boring. The first couple of steepings are not bad, but it slowly dissipates and turns into something that tastes like decent materials thinned with average leaves.

Not the worst tea or anything, but not that great.

This was the most disappointing part of my order. I guess I am not sure what I expected, I know they are not a puer specialty store, and they offer quite a limited selection.

The leaves were fine visually, but the tea was lifeless. I loaded up my yixing with about 10g (usually I am more near 5 or 6, as it is a small pot) and still couldn’t get much flavor out of it. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

Steepings were between 20-45 seconds. I was trying anything to breathe life into this tea, but to no avail

This is best at 1-2 minute steeping or even longer. I had success with western style brewing which was full, rich and deliscious.

This was a tasty tea! Lots of flavor and life. Steeping in a zisha pot starting at 20 seconds, then upwards of a minute in later steepings

My fav not only for taste but for the awesome centeredness you feel when you drink this puer.

Steeped in glassware. Puring off half between steepings. Was disappointed with the quality. Could be much better. Pretty average long jing
