1113 Tasting Notes
This tea smells awful, sounds weird, and taste decent.
“Another tea mixture with coconut”, I thought to myself… I enjoyed the taste of this tea, though I am not sure what it was suppose to taste like. The smell is off putting but the flavor is decent once you get past it. Take out the coconut and it’d be better.
Preparation
This tea looks and smells like a broken granola bar…
I actually liked the mixture of coconut in this tea which is rare because I dislike warm coconut flavoring. The mixture of chai in this overpowers the coconut and creates a dessert cup of tea that I enjoy.
Preparation
For someone who doesn’t drink or enjoy black teas: This was a pleasant of tea. I never have drank breakfast teas before but this was quite smooth, though I still don’t like the taste of black teas, I am able to notice the quality is a little lower than what many would prefer but I enjoyed this overall.
I’m not sure if vanilla mixes well with tea or not, but for this tea the answer is no. Sure vanilla smells good but when paired up with a dark woodsy oolong it just doesn’t blend well. I was unable to drink the entire cup that I brewed of this tea, but I was able to drink some of it.
Preparation
I only got to drink two cups of this because my best friend loves grapefruit and when I brewed this she really liked it so I gave it away, however I remember it quite well. The oolong flavor in this tea keeps its integrity while being present in the midst of a grapefruit flavor that is identifiable. I found this tea to taste quite well, but it wasn’t my favorite.
Preparation
This was the worst oolong that I got from Adagio teas and I hope it stays at that position because I wouldn’t want anything worse. The natural almond flavor that is added (however it is added as well) ruins the oolong taste in this tea. Maybe I had a bad batch or something but it was quite repulsive- enough so that I threw it out.
I walk into Tehku, “I wonder what the weirdest thing I can find it” and this ends up being choice #2 so I purchase it even though it sounds nasty but I find the addition of walnut to be intriguing. To my surprise this has been the best rooibos I have had yet! The nutty notes and strong African rooibos flavor mix so well with the fruit they added to this and I would have never though it to taste well from the sound of it. I am glad that I picked this up as a joke for my taste buds because it is splendid.
Preparation
The bag on this tea says in four different colors (purple, red, and pink), “This tea yields a very pleasant & refreshing cup” and I am almost there with them. I find this tea to taste very good but I don’t feel the calmness that a lot of green teas provide. This tea is a sweeter tea and taste great hot and cold which is nice. A bit dry tasting but overall nice.
