I use this tea when making traditional Masala Chai. It’s perfect. Nice robust flavour and can handle the chai spices.

Got this in a Tea Sparrow subscription box.
Holy crap. I don’t even like blueberries!! This tea is amazing. No artificial taste, very round blueberry flavour. Fantastic on it’s own, hot or cold.

Tried this tea for the first time at the Toronto Tea Festival years ago (2018? 2019?) and it was lovely on its own. I can’t say I’ve had a black green tea blend, but I certainly didn’t hate it!

Made a cup when I got home with milk and sugar and that’s where I hit the jackpot. This makes for a beautifully light creamy tea. It reminds me of a Lady Grey but a bit more floral, maybe due to the jasmine flowers.

Majestea’s Tea Company no longer exists, which means this tea blend doesn’t either. I’ve been hoarding what I have left of my bag, and I’m on a mission to find a dupe for this tea. I have found other black green blends of the same name as this one, but they just seem to be missing whatever the special ingredient is in this one that makes it rise above the rest.

I’ve been on a tea hunt ever since Majestea’s Buckingham Palace Garden Party was no longer available. I bought this a while ago to try since I love Tea Sparrow and only got around to tasting it now and WOW. It’s so flavourful. Definite bergamot and enough vanilla to emphasise the flavours. An easy favourite with milk and sugar that I always keeping reaching for.

drank Pumpkin Spice Brulee by Teavana

Made a pot of tea for the office with the last of this from my stash. It brewed up very cloudy in the pot, so I thought something might be wrong with it, but now I suspect it’s from the non-tea ingredients (chocolate etc)
Considering it’s a ‘pumpkin spice’ type of tea, it’s better than many others I’ve had (for some reason people find it very hard to nail this flavour)

It brewed for a bit longer than I normally like, but there is no bitterness the longer it sits.
Describing this tea as Autumnal and warming would be my best choices. It is exactly that. Now I just need a snowier day than this mid-November wet season to fully enjoy this with some knitwear and a window seat.

Flavors: Chocolate, Clove, Pepper, Pumpkin Spice

drank Green by Higgins & Burke

See, this is why I prefer jasmine green tea to the regular stuff. Or maybe it’s just because there’s lemongrass in this tea that I wasn’t aware of until I logged on to review it.

Firstly, green tea in a bag just isn’t very good. Second, it tastes too much like dirt and leaves a residue at the water level in the cup.

drank Green Tea by Bromley Tea Company

Someone randomly left a box of this in the kitchen at work. In a pinch I used it because a) I’m fasting for breakfast and b) I didn’t bring my Jasmine Dragon Pearls from home.

It’s better than the Higgins & Burke bagged green tea that my office stocks. Doesn’t taste as earthy, which I like.

drank Raspberry Vanilla by Yumchaa

Another tea gifted by @EmilyGee. I love it! The dry tea smells lovely and is only a little less aromatic once brewed. I’m very fussy about fruit teas. And I’m a huge fan of raspberry stuff. This one isnt bad. Not overly artificial tasting, pretty decent actually. Man, maybe I’m just not very good at reviewing tea or they’re all starting to blend together for me lol. Overall, I think the vanilla helps to make the raspberry not so tart or even maybe tones down any artificial raspberry taste because this is pretty good!

Totally agree! The vanilla really makes this!

drank Just Peachy by DAVIDsTEA

Got this as a sample from EmilyGee, thanks so much Emily!

Oh I DO like this tea! I’m a big fan of peach, so this definitely delivers a peachy taste! I could do without the floaties in my cup, but I’ll deal. It has a slight hard candy taste at the end that I haven’t quite decided if I like or not, but there’s definitely no bitterness or astringency..

EDIT: Ya, that hard candy taste at the end is not to my liking. I think I may pass on making this my ‘go to’ peach tea. The search continues!

Flavors: Candy, Peach

Received this from EmilyGee to try, thanks Emily!

It smells more chocolate/orange dry than it does when brewed. I don’t sense the orange anywhere except maybe a slight hint of citrus right at the end. But it’s ever so faint, I miight even just be willing my tastebuds to notice it.
The chocolate is there, but in a very earthy sense as opposed to the sweet commercial sense. Or it could just be that I’m not familiar with pu-erh tea and the earthiness is from that.
I don’t think it’s orangy enough for my liking, so I doubt I’d buy it in future.

Bio

I do the Tea Festival every year, but I wouldn’t call myself a tea expert, I just know what I like.

Tea Preferences: I like my black teas. If it has bergamot or vanilla, even better. I can’t do smokey teas, and I’m super picky about herbal & fruit teas (but up to the challenge of finding some I like!)

My favourite teas:
Organic Bergamot Cream – Tea Sparrow
Organic Blueberry Rooibos – Tea Sparrow
Buckingham Palace Garden Party – Majestea’s (discontinued)
Organic Pineapple Oolong – David’s Tea
Peaches & Cream – Sloane Tea
Paris – Harney & Sons
