2060 Tasting Notes
Tea bag looked very fancy, but in reality the tea is medicore only.
Base tea not recognized at all and lemon taste was rather artificial. Tea was mostly lemon water like, with little butter notes of tea. Bleh. Nothing great again. At least, as it is green tea it woke me up a bit.
Flavors: Artificial, Butter, Lemon
Preparation
Kind of irony that I ordered in a coffee shop a tea. But I had to try it there. 11 flavours to go.
Backlog from yesterday.
Well, the server does not know how to pronouce Darjeeling correctly when ordering it at bar. I chuckled a little honestly. I received a double-glass cup (see here: https://bit.ly/2Pj73oU) filled with hot water. So, I could put sachet in by myself and let it steep for my own time. I decided for about 4 minutes, I have not counted it exactly (they suggest 3-5 minutes).
Overall, tea was very tasty, malty with jam notes. Little citrus zest notes in aroma mostly. Honestly, nice surprise for me. As an extra for me, theey have their own blends, so their own sachets! New for my collection.
Flavors: Citrus Zest, Jam, Malt

Happy to see that my writing is not in vain :)
I can not decide if I do it, because I want to keep up the level of my English, or… I just need to write something down.
gmathis: come and drink with me :D
Cloudy, bit too yellow colour.
Aroma strongly peppermint, not a single note of green tea.
In taste it is common green tea, but with dominant peppermint notes. Quite plain. Not fan of it much.
Flavors: Peppermint
Preparation
Another tea from tea bag exchange fair.
Apparently this is very common Turkish blend as I was doing some search and this brand is from Turkey as well. Dry bag smelled quite heavily like some cleaning agent though. Brew aroma is bit better though, better for mint notes which are great there. It keeps some zesty lemon notes.
In taste it is better than I have expected. The lemon notes are great, I really notice lemon peel, lemon itself and luckily it is not too sour. Mint is nice base, not much tangy.
Overall, it is nice surprise, even the aromas are not great, the taste is the opposite. I can imagine it better a bit, but still it is nice surprise for me.
Flavors: Lemon Zest, Mint
Preparation
Brew is cloudy, brown-yellow.
Dry leaf aroma was promising. Mostly cocoa nibs and coconut, with little smokiness (of Lapsang souchong) but brewed tea aroma was way more smoky with no sweet notes. It is so smoky iut reminds me rather meat than tea.
But when sipped, sweet notes are back. Notes of cocoa, chocolate and coconut. It works quite well together. Little cinnamon sweetness is there too. It reminds me Snowball (see: https://steepster.com/Martin-CZE/posts/393466) with smoky aroma. And no marshmellows.
Flavors: Chocolate, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Coconut, Meat, Smoked
Preparation
While I opened the bag, a strong spicy notes hit my nose. It was really lots of spiciness, mostly clove, ginger and chili.
As it is green tea, I used bit colder water tempereature, and we will se ewhat will appear. Used 4 grams in my empty tea bag. Better than strainers!
I let it in for 3 minutes, rather short to avoid too spicy brew.
It turned out quite okay – nice base tea which is not very distinctive, but it is there. Little spicy notes and that’s it. Maybe it is suppossed to be spicier, but I like it this way. It is mellow, maybe even little bit sweet notes and some refreshing ones (like mint or something)
Preparation
Yerba Mate with cacao? Okay, cacao dust went out while I was taking the bag out. Maybe something remained in bag.
Brews cloudy brown. Taste is weird. Woody from rooibos, sweet from cacao and licorice, herbal because Yerba Mate. Cacophony of tastes.
I do not like it much – I mean it is not terrible, but bit it tastes weird for me. But yeah, at least it is quite energy boosting :)
Preparation
Another tea from exchange meeting – and exchanged this one. So, I do not know how old it could be. Hopefully, not so much, but when it is wrapped in foil, I hope it would not be bad.
When brewed, it smells nice. Mostly orange zest and bit of spices. In taste t is similar, but I expected much more pronounced spices. It was like earl grey, but with quite weak base black tea and little bit of spices. Nothing very distinctive. I expected much more stronger tastes. But overall it was nice, mellow tea..
Flavors: Clove, Orange Zest
Preparation
I was at tea bag exchange meeting today and naturally I bought some teas as well. I was able to bring home about 350 tea bags and now it is worst part coming. To organise them in folders and files.
Anyway, this one is one of those I bought. Guy, who sold me it says it is from South Africa (and looks like it really is) and as it is 10 pm, what else I could drink if I do not want to be awake? Yep, rooibos (80 percent) + chamomile flowers and leaves (20 per cent).
Brews quite dark, but in taste it is like woody chamomile. Yep rooibos is quite woody this time and chamomile is quite present as well.
Not a bad tea, but good as a evening/night tea onlyFlavors: Wood
Preparation
Prepared. Sorting tea bags for tomorrow exchange meeting. Forgot that I kept a tea bag in all the time. Maybe 30, 45 minutes? Who knows? But now it is quite cold. So – I can it write a tasting note while sipping.
Well,
it is not great. Not terrible. Not even average. It tastes quite funky, it is cloudy! It is dusty!
I notice mostly cardamon and clove notes, all together is soothing my throat. But weird funky note of basil or something like that? Weird.
40. But thanks derk – I bet I will swap the tea bag at least and that is positive.
Flavors: Cardamom, Clove, Herbs
