Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts. I’ve been drawn to it for years now, but I absolutely fell in love with it during my time in Italy last summer. Ever since I’ve started trying to eat healthier, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a tiramisu tea that I could enjoy as a substitute. This is the first one I’ve tried, and I love it! The dry aroma is heavenly – coffee and cream. Some of that disappeared in the aroma of the freshly brewed cup, but it all came right back in the taste. The label recommends 1-2 tsp of tea per 8oz, so I went with 2; I tend to like my tea strong. I steeped for 9 minutes. Luckily, it turned out perfectly. Before tasting, I entertained the notion of adding a bit of milk – but this tea doesn’t need it! Now I have something yummy to turn to when I’m craving tiramisu and can’t have any :)

Bio

If you count the bagged stuff, I’ve been a tea drinker for a long time. I first discovered the joys of loose leaf on a trip to London in 2014, and it’s all been downhill from there. I’m still in the phase where I want to try everything, and I’m still developing my tea personality.

Types of tea / tisanes I gravitate toward: black, green oolong, Japanese green, flavored teas (sweet, floral, fruity, minty, complex, you name it), rooibos, roasted mate, and many herbal and fruit combos.

Teas I need to try, try again, or keep trying: white, pu erh, dark oolong, pure Chinese green, mate

I’ll update soon with my rating system!
