Oh, how I love the beautiful floral bergamot flavor of this one! I caved and bought a tin of sachets to enjoy at work. Now you all know I’m normally a strong proponent of loose leaf tea. But we also know that teabags are just so much more convenient for work. Harney & Sons does a good job making a triangular-shaped mesh bag that allows the leaves to expand. The leaves aren’t finely ground like grocery store quality teabags either. This is a teabag done right.
The cup is beautiful and understated. I added a splash of skim milk and a tiny bit of Truvia. Although my previous notes say I enjoyed it best sans additions, this is really hitting the spot this morning. It brings back memories of my mini-moon at a beautiful, quaint bed and breakfast in Newport, RI, sitting by the fire with my husband and enjoying a wonderful cuppa. I love how tea can transport you back in time to an exact place with one whiff of the aroma or one sip.
I FINALLY figured out why this reminds me of 52teas’ Cotton Candy White Tea. It’s the cornflowers! I don’t see any cornflowers in the leaves, but I’m sure it must be one of the floral flavorings they’ve added here. Bergamot, vanilla, berry, and cornflowers. That must be it! It only took 4 years but mystery solved. :P Upping the rating from 87 to 89.
