I haven’t had many Rooibos teas, but I really like the flavor of this one. The aroma right out of the package brought autumn right to my kitchen and it only got better when I started steeping it. The warm, rich scent of maple is the dominant aroma. The flavor is that of maple and spice. I think I’ll add a bit of sugar or honey just to bring out the autumn flavors a bit more but otherwise this tea is great just on its own. This tea definitely put me in the mood for crisp weather, football, and long-sleeves!

Beautiful orange scent right out of the bag. The fragrance is both soothing and uplifting. The scent is muted a bit while steeping but the gorgeous orange/pink color makes up for it. The orange flavor of the tea is bold but not overwhelming or bitter…it goes down smooth and leaves a very clean taste. It’s caffeine-free and I think it would make a wonderful after-dinner drink or something to warm up with in the evening.

Very nice peppermint flavor. I’ve steeped this hot and cold. When brewing it hot, the peppermint scent is lovely. When steeping cold, the peppermint flavor is fantastic…a great aftertaste and the perfect way to relax on a hot summer day.

I have made this hot and have cold-steeped it as well. Both of these methods prove to be delicious. When I steeped this hot, the scent of chocolate and apple – a balance of both notes – really permeated the whole room.

Delicious! The chocolate aroma and flavor are rich but balance the spice of the chai perfectly. This tastes best with just a hint of sugar.

A good, basic, everyday black tea. Nothing exceptional about this tea but good black tea flavor. I add honey to mine.

The mint and green tea flavors were present butI was underwhelmed with the initial taste of this tea. It didn’t knock my socks off like other Tazo teas have. There is a slight minty aftertaste, but while drinking it, I don’t get a heavy punch of any flavor. This sample has been in my cupboard for awhile so it may just have been too old.

The fragrance and flavor of this tea really underwhelmed. There was no hint of orange or spice…I really only tasted the black tea. I’ve had this sample in my stash for awhile so maybe it was old. Wouldn’t recommend unless you simply need a hot beverage with little flavor.

The purple color has me hooked, however the sweet/tart flavor combo that others have mentioned was a bit too tart for me, especially as the tea cooled. The fragrance of this tea is floral and fruity. I would recommend it only to someone who like fruity, citrusy teas.

Wow…the fragarance alone has completely impressed me! The black pepper, cardamom, and clove notes are clearly pronounced and are what I would expect from a higher-quality bagged chai. I added a bit of honey and milk and the spiciness still comes through with gusto! I will definitely be purchasing this again!
