44 Tasting Notes
I wasn’t thoroughly impressed with this tea. To be fair, I may not have steeped it long enough or the water may not have even hot enough, but I found the taste to be fairly weak. I caught hints of green tea but practically nothing of mint, save for a slight aftertaste.
This was my go-to during my pregnancy when queasiness threatened to get the better of me. It is great tummy-soother with a balanced blend of lemon and ginger (the ginger offers just the right amount of heat). I often add a little honey for an evening treat.
Unfortunately for me, Della Terra is (apparently) no longer in business as this is one of my favorite teas. It offers just a slight sweetness blended with black tea. The scent is delightful and gives you that just-in-from-the-campfire-with-an-ooey-gooey-smore feeling.
Preparation
On par with Constant Comment for the Christmassy memories it evokes! Great orange flavor!
Preparation
The chocolate and chai flavors in this tea just don’t mesh as well as I’d hoped. There isn’t much depth to either flavor, though the chocolate is a little more prominent in this tea. However, the chocolate isn’t particularly good. I have to add more honey or sugar and milk to a cup of this tea than I do to other Bigelow chai teas. This is the only chai from Bigelow that has disappointed me.
Preparation
A nice, mellow Chamomile. It’s not the best I’ve ever tasted, but it’s not the worst! This one has been in my cupboard for awhile, so perhaps getting a new package of this flavor would improve my perception of this tea. I need to let this one steep longer than other Chamomiles, but the longer steep does so much for the flavor.
I LOVE this tea! For an inexpensive cup that really packs a flavor punch, please try this one! The caramel notes and a very slight saltiness come through beautifully. I wasn’t sure I’d like this one, but it intrigued me and it was in my “stocking stuffer for myself” budget, so I thought I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did!
A fantastic pumpkin spice tea! I really love the flavor. I may let mine steep a little longer than some but I like the flavor bold (I do add a splash of milk and some honey to make it more like a slice of pie in a cup). I didn’t find that a 6-minute steep soured the flavor at all.
