1758 Tasting Notes
Bought this because I thought it would be interesting to try a tea from Georgia, the former Soviet Province, not the US State. This tea is relatively good. It is slightly bitter and it has a strong malt flavor to it. There is more depth to this tea though and I would say it has a bit of a fruity character largely in the background. Overall I like this tea.
I steeped this tea on time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper with 3 tsp leaf and 200 degree water for 3 minutes.

This is the first tea I am drinking from the Bitaco Tea group buy. These greens had me a little worried that they looked like black tea. However, once brewed the tea was very green. The foreground note on this tea is a vegetal note with the tropical notes more in the background. I think I like this tea. The next test is to cold brew it as an iced tea and see how it tastes.
I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper for two minutes with 175 degree water and 3 tsp leaf. While I would recommend this tea the problem for anyone not already in on the group order they have a 6kg minimum purchase. If you can meet that limit however the teas are an incredible value at $50 for 1 kg of tea, breaking down to $5 for 100g. And they shipped for free too.

Preparation
This is a strong and bittersweet sheng. It had a strong bitter note for the first six steeps with a sweet note behind it. It developed into a nice sweet sheng although I don’t know if I would use the word apricots. It was very good overall.
I steeped this ten times in a 75ml teapot with 5g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 minute.
Preparation
This is a very nice shou with a lot of fermentation taste to it. It was however not of the extremely unpleasant type or the fishy type. There was very little bitterness and a sweet note gradually evolved until the twlfth steep had a distinct fruity character. Overall I am glad I bought this.
I steeped this twelve times in a 130ml teapot with 10.5g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, 1 min, 1.5 min, and 2 minutes. Judging by the color of the tea in the twelfth steep I would say there were at least three steeps left to this one.

Puerh Tea TTB. Jalam 2015 Bada Mtn Sheng Manyue Village. This tea was not actually bad tea but I didn’t enjoy it that much. On my third sheng of the morning it is just too much sheng overload. This tea was sweet with a bitter aftertaste and a fair amount of astringency. This tea would not convince me to join the Jalam club.
I steeped this tea ten times in a 75ml teapot with 6.4g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, and 1 minute.
Preparation
Puerh Tea TTB. I tried this from the puerh ttb. The first few steeps before it opened up were a bit like a raw puerh. Once it opened up I got the notes of a charcoal roast oolong tea. I only steeped this eight times. I just had no desire to keep going. This is not one I will be buying.
I steeped this eight times in a 75ml teapot with 6g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, and 30 sec.
Preparation
Puerh Tea TTB. This is I think a good sheng. It is also a bitter sheng. There was a sweet aftertaste to it though. The bitterness went away after a few steeps, not sure how many. The remaining taste was quite good. I have heard they are out of this one. This is probably for the better because I am not tempted to spend money.

This is a very nice tea. It is a complex mix of malt, dark chocolate, and a certain amount of fruity flavor. It is very good. So far all the teas I have gotten from Vahdam Teas have been good teas. None of them were bad at all. This one is not as nice as their first flush Darjeelings but is very good. Tasates more like a black tea than the first flush that is for sure.
I brewed this one time in a 16oz Teavana Glass Perfect Tea Maker/Gravity Steeper witih 3 tsp leaf and 190 degree water for 3 minutes. I will probably go back for a resteep.
Preparation
I am not an expert on Earl Grey teas. The citrus in this one is very strong and a little bit sour. Overall it is good.

It would seem like I drank a different tea from the other reviewer on this one. Once I got past the wet storage flavors I found it quite nice. Not dirty or cloudy but clear and crisp. There was a fair amount of fermentation to it with an earthy note but I did not notice anything particularly unpleasant at all. In fact the wet storage notes covered up the fermentation taste to some degree. By the fifth or sixth steep all the wet storage taste and fermentation taste were gone and what I was left with was fairly nice. A bit of a light fruity note with an aftertaste of the wet storage taste or wet wood. Yes I guess in reality there was a little bit left of this throughout all twelve steeps but is was only a major factor for five or six steeps.
I steeped this tea twelve times in a 110ml teapot with 8.3g leaf and boiling water. I gave it a 10 second rinse. I steeped it for 5 sec, 5 sec, 7 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec, 25 sec, 30 sec, 45 sec, 1 min, 1.5 min, and 2 minutes. There were a few more steeps left to this tea but I didn’t want any more caffeine.
