If you are looking for a tea house that offers high-tea, or a casual afternoon tea, this is the place! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is delicious. Fabulous selection of tea, with a smelling wall. They have also recently added a nice selection of gourmet fresh-ground coffee that they serve in a french press if you are looking for something different. They offer a “Children’s Tea” for birthdays and private rooms for parties. It’s easy to make a day of it at White Linen because they also have a huge antique barn on property. Highly recommend!
TeaLeafs is AMAZING! I highly recommend a stop! The staff is knowledgeable and you can tell they really care about the tea. They always have at least two samples brewed for you to taste while browsing. They have a huge selection with a smelling wall. Multiple sugars are available for purchase, and they will allow you to taste if you ask. They have a large selection of kettles, mugs, and infusers ranging from whimsical to serious. Whether you are new or experienced with loose tea, give this store a shot, they love talking tea, and no matter what the question they always give an enthusiastic and encouraging response. Awesome local business!
I was also surprised to discover Condrell’s carried loose tea! We included them on our weekend trek to check-out local tea vendors and I am happy we did! They had a nice selection of loose tea and tea accessories. (It is Easter time at the time of this review, so their store is understandably set-up/overflowing with chocolate, so it’s a little cramped…it will be interesting to see if the set-up changes after Easter) We picked up five flavors of Rooibos and Black tea to try. So far I am LOVING their Pineapple Upside Down Rooibos, and their S’mores Black Tea. I highly recommend a stop if you are passing through Kenmore!
I was pleasantly surprised to find out, via Steepster, that Blue Mountain offered loose tea. We went to check it out this weekend. Staff was friendly, they carry about 40 varieties of loose tea/flavored loose tea. One feature which is sadly missing at Blue Mountain, is the presence of smelling jars/tins. A normal perk of buying tea locally in a store is the ability to smell the tea before making a buying decision. The tea is reasonably priced, and they also have a nice selection of boxed teas and accessories.
