15 Tasting Notes
TEA BLEND NOTE: For this tasting note, I’m blending it with Strawberry Blush Rose (flavored oolong, Teavana). I used equal parts Jasmine Dragon and Strawberry Blush, with 2 teaspoons each for 16 oz water. It’s more subtle tasting than the strong smell of the Strawberry Blush led me to believe; though perhaps still more sweet/fruity/flavored than I know others might like.
Preparation
Another office Sipdown. I love this tea! I’ll definitely be getting it, or something similar, again. I brewed it really strong but that’s partly because I was trying to use it up and partly because I just like my tea strong. (Maybe because I’ve drank coffee a lot longer in my life than tea?) Anyway I think it’s held up well for resteeps and I just love the way it smells and tastes, like Andes Chocolate Mints. :)
Flavors: Chocolate, Cocoa, Mint
Preparation
Now finished with my supply of Oprah Chai (I think that’s called a “Sipdown”?). Anyway, I had actually taken a steep from about a half hour earlier, added a couple teaspons to that to make it really strong, and then added a tiny bit of almond milk and stevia after steeping. It was better than the pot I had before this one, but still not that spicy yummy tea that I remember having when I first bought it. I feel like maybe I’ve had this one too long in the cupboard. Maybe I’ll buy it again, maybe not.
Preparation
Nearing the end of my supply on this one. Not as good as I remembered, but maybe the water was too hot (no thermometer with me at work, so I was guessing at temperature). Am thinking of pairing it with another chai or with some plain black.
Preparation
First tasting note, so thank you for your understanding if I do something wrong? LOL I don’t know. Anyway I bought this a long time ago because it smelled really good and was recommended by the Teavana staff, but am just now getting to it. First I tried it with a little bit of milk and sweetener; my friends said I might like it better that way beause I am new to tea. But the cup I’m having now is just plain and I like it better this way. So far so good, I think. Am looking forward to see how it tastes with another steep! And this time I won’t accidentally oversteep it (meant to do only 2:30 but ended up at about 3:00).
