Sipdown!

idk why but Mint tea always smells like farts to me. I think I always associate Mint tea with being sick so I’m not the biggest fan of it.

Wanted to do an herbal tea tonight since I already had my Jasmine but I don’t actually own a lot of herbals. Had this in my random teabag stash so I figured I’d give it a go!

It tastes like your traditional mint tea. Nothing pretty special about it. Just… mint.

It is a cool summer night at the moment, so it’s a perfect time for a hot tea! I decide to try this one out for the first time. It tastes so good-the peppermint and spearmint go so well together in this blend! One of my new fav teas! I had a chuckle at the hot air balloon on the tag of the pyramid shaped tea bag. Just the other day, I woke up and opened the door to let the dogs out and I see this hot air balloon descending nearby! It was such a cool sight to see and a great start to the day. Riding in a hot air balloon is on my bucket list of things to do.

Using up my one teabag of this tea that I was kindly given by Arby (who is a good friend of mine in person)! She scored me a multitude of single teabag Twinings tea from a hotel, so that was pretty awesome. It’s my first time trying this tea.

I really love mint teas, especially peppermint, so I was very happy to find that even though this is a peppermint and spearmint blend, the spearmint is more subtle than the peppermint and adds just a bit of sweetness, which is quite nice. It’s not a particularly special tea, but good if you like high menthol teas. I find it’s best when piping hot!

I find I can barely taste the spearmint. If I didn’t now better, I would think this was plain peppermint. At least it is strong enough to take milk, brew iced, or brew hot. Really, though, most peppermint teas taste the same.

The spearmint is really subtle but I can still taste it in there, since it’s got more of that sweet menthol taste than Peppermint does. Peppermint is really strong but not the same kind of sweet as spearmint. I can definitely tell the difference between this and my Murchie’s peppermint.

Standard high-methanol mint tea. I didn’t even know there was any spearmint in it as I can only taste very cooling peppermint. I enjoyed my many cups of this, and will enjoy the other dozen or so pyramid sachets I have.

Note: this gets very strong if brewed hot for more than 3 minutes, although it tastes great hot or cold and straight or with milk. I found vanilla soy milk tasted best (tried rice milk, almond milk, and vanilla soy milk).
