From Trail Lodge Tea

This is truly a classic tea! It makes a great hot or iced tea. We have finally found the perfect lemon tea. This one has a mild and smooth lemon flavor with a hint of creaminess, reminiscent of lemon meringue pie. It is naturally caffeine free. Ingredients: Rooibos, Green Rooibos, Honeybush, Lemon Bits, Calendula and Cornflower Petals, and Flavoring.

What an awesome day! First off, I didn’t start teaching until 1:30, so I got a bunch of stuff done in my garden! I taught all afternoon, then went to the farmers market. There is a local chick making homemade coconut butter, & I love coconut butter. I usually get Artisana’s, but I think from now on I’ll be getting it from this gal. She has plain, but she also has naturally flavored ones, the lemon vanilla is heavenly…ahhh

Trail lodge tea, a local company, was also there today, so I stocked back up on this lemon rooibos, which is tasty, the peach Melba, & the ginger rooibos. I’ve been needing a few more non-caffeine teas for the evening, & this Lenin is especially nice.

I think you told me once—but where is the farmers’ market you frequent? It sounds like a great place to spend an afternoon.

There are several in St. Louis, but the one I like is on wednesdays from 4 – 7pm in the parking lot of the schlafly bottleworks restaurant & brewery. The close of a section of the parking lot & set up the market there. It’s 5 minutes from my house in Maplewood.

Take a roadtrip to StL, GG, & we’ll hang out!

Not sure when Life and All will allow that, but I would love to. It has been too long since we took off to have a Strictly Frivolous Day.

This smells AMAZING!!!!! It’s like Lemon Custard and Cakey-Bakey-Heaven!
Yeah! Much like Lemon PIE – the aroma makes me melt!

The flavor is much like the aroma but it has a sugary-sweet flavoring popping in and out thru-out the sip…reminiscent of lemon drop candy…in addition to the natural sweetness of both the honeybush and the rooibos AND the natural lemon bits! YAY!

I think this is neat because it features both rooibos and green rooibos AND honeybush – not to mention the lemon bits and calendula and cornflower petals! These ingredients work tremendously well together!

This is a treat – that is for sure! YUM!

Backlog:

Totally yummilicious! (Yes, it’s a word, I just made it up.)

I love the base of this tisane, it’s oxidized rooibos (red rooibos), un-oxidized rooibos (green rooibos) and honeybush! It’s a great combination, because the flavor is sweet, honey-like, with notes of nut and fruit. A really nice complement to the lemon meringue pie flavors we’ve got going on with this tisane. Mmm!

The lemon-y notes are sweet, like lemon curd. Notes of vanilla, and every once in a while, I taste hints of butter. It works very well in tricking the palate into thinking that it’s drinking a slice of lemon meringue pie.

Thank you thank you TerriHarplady! The first tea from the lovely teas I received in a swap today! I am only allowing myself a tea after a get one of the cleaning type jobs completed! Otherwise I’d sit and drink tea and read all day! Tea has a gentle lemon and graham cracker taste. Did I under leaf ? Allergies blocking the nose? Still yummy, even though the flavor is not as pronounced as I might have liked.
Now! On to more cleaning! It’s amazing how dusty/dirty/messy a house can get with only two fairly neat people in it!
