Green Tea* Boba. Every time.
I’ve got this odd obsession with biting into those tapioca pearls and then swallowing them when they’re somewhat whole. The texture and flavor is awesome! I love how smooth and soft they are.
I’ve had two different types of boba. One where it was more of a smoothie and one in which it was prepared as a latte. I can’t say which I prefer as both ways of preparation actually affect the consistency of the tapioca pearls. In the former, the pearls are firmer and chewier. In the latter, the pearls are softer and more prone to breaking in half. Both methods of preparation are nice (and daresay, fun), though.
Today I had it blended creme/smoothie style. It was splendid.
*If only to legitimize this as an actual tea (because it’s at least as much a tea as the green tea stuff at Starbucks).
my ratings are based upon whether or not I liked the tea. It’s a personal rating, so if I like it… I like it (regardless of the tea content). I don’t know if that helps you or not. I don’t have a calculated system — calculated sounds too much like calculations, which makes me think of math, and I don’t like math. I love tea, I don’t like math – so I keep the math out and away from the tea as much as possible (that’s why I won’t get a scale!) I go with my feelings and my emotions when it comes to ratings… maybe it’s not as precise or even as reliable to count on… but, it works for me.
I agree with LiberTEAS eloquent response. :) The company is calling it a tea, therefore you can and should rate it here. Plus that’s the beauty of writing a review — you can mention the fact that you don’t think that there’s any tea in it, but that you still love it.
Thanks for your input! Much appreceated~!
Agree, rate away!
Ooh, I was reading about bubble tea the other day! I wish I knew where to get some in my part of the woods, I would love to try it. I also agree with everyone else, if they call it a tea rate it!
i love bubble tea but agree it’s more juice than tea
