First trial of this bagged green in microwaved work water, so there is much room for improvement there. There’s something somewhat floral about the pomegranate, rather than fruity, but still a decent cup. Will see what better attention to detail does to it.

Nt too shabby for a bagged tea! Thank you CHAroma for the wonderful teas you sent. I’m enjoying getting the chance to try a few of the bagged versions from this company. I am not getting an overly strong pomegranate taste, but there’s enough to balance out the green tea and make this a decent cup :) something I might consider for those times when I don’t have enough time to brew up loose leaf.

Glad you liked it! :)

I oversteeped last night, bad Daisy x_x
Not a smart idea with a cheap green like this, but it was a nice treat anyways :)

Smelled more like pomegranate than the taste. Dry it smelled amazing, like sweet red licorice! It was especially enjoyable because I got to try out my new Agave – Honey Vanilla! It hit the spot last night while the man and I looked through pictures to put in our Cuba album.

Thank you Winners for having awesome, unique stuff!

Uniquity

I love searching the random tea at Winners…our Chapters also carry harney and Sons teabags now. I don’t like to support Chapters, but I do like getting harneys without a shipping charge!

Daisy Chubb

Nice! Thank you Uniquity, I’m totally checking out the tea at Chapters next time I go! Not my favorite “book store” to support either, but it’s by my favorite restaurant so it can’t hurt to pop in. You’ve made my day :D

Uniquity

Glad I could be of service! I was so shocked when I found it there. I do love finding new tea in strange places, but I always have qualms. Hope there’s something there for you! : )

Oh man…I wonder if I could convince the chapters to carry Tower of London which I so so love..

Daisy Chubb

Doesn’t hurt to try. May as well make them work for your money heh n_-

Daisy Chubb

So I went to Chapters last night, only one kind of Harney & Sons (Paris) and a TON of Tea Forte stuff! So I’m going to see if Paris is my kind of tea and hope that they get more in some time n_n

Uniquity

I’m sure they will keep changing it up. When I was there, there was heavy focus on iced teas, and they had weird stuff going on. I bet there will be more for fall!

Daisy Chubb

Ah fall! Can’t wait :)
(I can wait for winter though..)

This was ok.

I would say more of a sweeter green tea or a semi-sweet floral taste than pomegranate tho

This tea is sometimes mixed up with another of Boston Tea Company’s teabags. They offer a pomegranate tea with a black base and a pomegranate tea with a green base. This tea page and note is for the pomegranate tea with a green base. For the other offering, visit this page: http://steepster.com/teas/the-boston-tea-company/11739-pomegranate

I know this is a green tea and I shouldn’t have used boiling water. But in my defense, it’s a really old bagged tea and the water was already boiling. I didn’t feel like waiting for it to cool since I’ve only got a minute to enjoy it before I have to run off to prenatal yoga. So yeah…I used boiling water. :P

This is surprisingly good! The green base is light and slightly grassy. The pomegranate flavoring is even lighter but definitely present. It lends a sweet fruity undertone to the cup. The aftertaste is a little drying but nothing unmanageable. I like this one! It’s a pleasant cuppa.

Making breakfast while steeping tea is not a good idea, at least without a timer anyway. Surprisingly, its not anywhere near as bitter as I thought it would be. I’m not getting any tartness from the pomegranate, just lots of floral flavors.

On the history side of things i wonder how many flavored teas they had back then. It would be interesting to find out what all was steeping in the harbor. Not that I would want to it, just curious.
