This had a crazy strong peppermint smell in the pouch, I assume because it contains peppermint oil.

It’s pretty potent in taste as well, but not over-the-top. The mint is definitely the starring flavor, but I do get some of the chocolate as well. With a bit of oat milk, it’s like a less-sweet peppermint dark hot chocolate. I will say the coffee element is a bit light, maybe because the mint is so strong, but I don’t really mind.

I could see myself enjoying this around the holidays especially, maybe I’ll pick some up closer to winter.

The base is milder than in some other Teeccino blends, which I like here. I definitely taste the bright mint along with a bit of chocolate plus the toasty base. It all works together quite well with some soy milk. It’s bright and pleasant.

I can’t remember who wrote it or about which tea specifically, but someone recently wrote a tasting note about a chocolate mint tea and it made me want one today. So I was pleased to find this teabag in my stash! The coffee base flavor is pretty weak but the chocolate and mint are really nice. Made as an oat milk latte, it tastes like a minty hot cocoa. Not really a tea or a coffee substitute but it is delicious and hitting the spot.

Michelle

I made some of this tonight, a change of pace from minty bedtime teas!

Kaylee

Yeah now I want more but I only had the one bag! I think I have some of their candy cane blend somewhere, not quite the same but might hit the spot…

Today’s Teeccino advent is one I’ve already tried (and didn’t like) so I thought I’d break open this one. I think I brewed this one a bit strong, its very minty. There is an underlying mocha taste like someone added too much mint flavored creamer to a strong cup of joe. I don’t mind this cup, I’ll brew it a little weaker next cup, and I’d surely use it as a stomach calming peppermint brew. The second steep is more subdued, its hard to tell sometimes, do you need more chicory (I hesitated to use leaf here, because its not) to get the taste as in hazelnut and gingerbread, or does a little go a long way as in chocolate mint and candy cane. I have a whole bag to figure out this ratio and the second steep is closer to a mint peppermint patty, a decent cup.

This is another one that came in the sampler that I’ve tried before.
I don’t love the smell of this one as the chocolate smells a bit dusty and the mint quite menthol-y.
It’s got a lot flavor though and I think this would be a great flavor to have during the winter holidays. It’s definitely minty and chocolate-y as well. The mint is peppermint and it’s good with milk and a little honey added to it.

Sipdown (1804)!

Still tasting my way through these Teeccino blends! This one seemed very promising, and I have to say that it’s probably the most intensely and accurately flavoured of the ones I’ve tried so far aside from Hazelnut – which is still reigning supreme as my favourite. With that said, as much as this had a very pleasant chocolate mint taste, I think it’s the only where I’ve tasted the least amount of roast or “coffee flavour” and given that these blends are sort of supposed to remind you of coffee I thought the more drastic departure from that flavour was maybe a bit of a miss.
