This blend is supposed to be oolong and pu’er and I found it had next to no pu. The spices are very heavy, especially on the clove. There’s more cloves and spices than oolong. I got this tea at tea 75% off sale, this might be a cheaper way to get whole cloves than a spice store!

The spices are good if you love clove, however the base is meh. The oolong just does not do it for me, this tea should be a black or ripe pu’er, using a green oolong just makes the whole thing kinda watery with spices.

I steeped this tea hard at another session. 9 grams for a 12 oz mug. It was mega spice without any tea flavor. It makes a crappy latte too since the base is so weak. A meh. I can probably salvage by adding some other tea to it.

I find almost all of teavana’s teas on the weak side…and their staff on the strong/overwhelming side.

This is(was) my favorite tea from Teavana. Delicious cinnamon warmth with a spicy black pepper and peppermint aftertaste. It’s a powerful taste that fills the mouth all the way back to the soft palate. LOVE LOVE LOVE this tea, particularly in winter after surviving a cold, hectic commute home from work.

All I can really say about this tea is WOW. The cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves are the center of the tea, and are so strong. It is very similar to regular chai tea. There is a small minty note in the background and it compliments the spices. I like the taste from the fruit pieces because it is something different and doesn’t make the tea too sweet or overpower the spices.
