Backlogging

Cold brewed of course!

This was a nice light sweet mango tea. The flavour was good but I wish that it would have been a little bit stronger. I will certainly enjoy the rest of this!

underwhelmed. Comparing this to the strawberry white, that is all I can think of. The “under” part doesn’t even deserve to be capitalized. (grammar nazi at heart here)
Maybe it would have gotten a better reaction from if I hadn’t tried the strawberry first…. and I should have added some sugar/agave to bring out the mango. It smells incredibly luscious when steeped, compared to the flavour- more so than the dry leaves.
I think what bothered my was that I wanted to taste more of the mango, but it was more of a background note with tea in the forefront. Perhaps I didn’t get enough mango “flavouring”? I know I know, I say that every time a tea dissapoints me… but it’s a legitimate concern! and I really wanted to love this tea.
Besides that, the “white” part was substandard as well. It was all fuzzy and tasted more like an oolong. I wonder if that was the ginger sneaking in? I certainly couldn’t identify it as such. The marigold and rose probably helped make more of a mess here to. I know rose is somewhat overpowering in a tea, kindof like hibiscus.
Bah!! There is just too much going on here for the mango to be really present. It almost reminds me of a bagged tea, the way everything is muted.

Uh huh, that’s right… I went there! and no I will not take it back.

still a pretty high rating for a “underwhelming” one don’t you think?

I do agree! my computer has a virus so only allows me to do things in small increments-frustrating to say the least :(

This one scared me as a lot of the Teaopia teas seem to as the fruit came off smelling very candy-like, both dry and once infused.

But, I liked this. Very juicy. I definitely got the mango, and thankfully no ginger. This would be nice iced.

Back when Teaopia was still around this was my go to drink! I would always get it cold with agave in it. The agave really brings out the sweetness of this tea, while everything else mixes so subtly and nicely together.

This is an awesome cup. From top to bottom, the cup is a mild fruity extravaganza. One of the things that makes this tea so unique is the fact that the mango taste is prominent, but without actually
being in the tea. The taste of the tea has a light white tea undertone. Luckily, the Pai Mu Tan adopts the taste easily making this easy for those who like light teas. Unlike Superberry White (another one of teaopia’s flavored white teas), Simply Mango’s tastes are easy to distinguish. I strongly recommend this tea to those who like nothing in their teas, an are looking
for a tea that will be both refreshing, and good for you.

Accented aroma that is not as mild as the taste. I’d prefer this as an iced summer drink. Just a personal preference. As a warm beverage, usually add a sweetener along with coconut or almond milk.
