The spices are so warm, peppery and sweet. I love how cozy and interesting this tea is.

Adventaggedon Day 16: Tea 8/8

I was nervous about this tea because I opened up the packet and it smelled super savory to me. Just a lot of pepper and orange notes in a way that kind of made me think of, like, Chinese takeout!? It was much, much better once steeped though! Still leaned pretty peppery but overall the spices were warmer and sweeter with a more noticeable cinnamon note and almost a kind of “baked goods” feeling. A coworker said it smelled like a candle and, y’know, I sort of agree that it did taste a bit like a generic winter-y candle – though in a nice enough way that I wasn’t bothered by it.

Advent Day 12

Ooooo, I’m kinda digging this one! It tastes like Indonesian food. Lots of cardamom. It’s almost like a curry without the curry. All the other spices are there. It’s almost savory, but could be dessert if sugar was added. I would totally drink this tea again. I bet it would be great with a coconut creamer!

I’m reading all the reviews below and can’t believe my eyes.
This tea literally made me feel sick… sadly. I’ve tried it twice so far and felt nauseous both times – it was awful. I won’t be trying any more.
I can mostly feel vanilla (very artificial imho) and I think that’s what’s making me feel poorly.
I’ve tried it both solo, as well as with milk (oat) and honey – both times I wasn’t impressed.

Amazing chai. I’ve had it in the Advent Calendar a couple of times, and for people that find other chais too heavy/clovey, give this one a try. It’s much more gentle but also an exciting combination of flavours.

I may have found my perfect casual drinking chai. I enjoy the orange peel in it, and it has a spicy zing without being too peppery. (I enjoy those kinds, too, but stronger flavors require very particular moods for me.) The vanilla softens it, but there is still plenty of spice flavor – cinnamon is strongest, but I’d say definitely a bit of ginger and pepper. I think the company says there is cardamom, too, which I would believe – I’m not very good at picking it out as an individual flavor, but I always seem to enjoy teas with that as an ingredient. It’s a touch on the weak side for me, so if I want to add milk or coconut creamer (yum in this!), I have to make it extra strong.

Still perfection, imo, with a dollop each of honey and milk. I’m a fiend for it.

Smells divine, and tastes the same! I’m not usually a fan of T2 chais as I find them too spicy, but this one is milder and has a nice vanilla note. Great before bed!
