TTB. I’ve been wanting to try this blend for some time (lychee? black genmaicha??), so was so happy to finally have a chance to try it. SO GOOD. The lychee works so well with the roastiness of the genmaicha, and the boldness of the black tea. I’ll definitely have to repurchase this one. Thank you for sharing, Roswell!

STTB Tea

Delicious lychee flavour! Somehow the toasted rice goes very well with the fruity flavour. The black base is quite nice – lightly honey/sweet flavour, a good balance of trannin while not being bitter. I will def. be ordering this next time I order from this company. Thanks for sharing!

Cold Brew!

So when I steeped this I fully expected this brew method to result in a more juicy and lychee forward infusion. However, I actually ended up with the reverse result; the brew was very roasted rice forward with a lot of those more grain-y and toasted nut notes. I did get some lychee undertones and a floral quality which were both delicious, but the focus was clearly that roasted rice angle. Not what I expected, but I embraced it and very much enjoyed this more unconventional brew.

Unrelated – but I saw your Ketlee order arrived! Looking forward to your reviews :)

Frustratingly my tracking never updated as having left India – but I’m just glad it finally arrived. I’ve tried one of the whites so far – will dig into most of it over my vacation though. Definitely some interesting looking things!

My tracking never updated either – no ‘pkg has left India’. And then one day weeks later, tea mail!

This gives me hope! A package from Teavivre has never updated…maybe it will get here after all.
