Though they’re quite expensive, I do really like Minor Figures as a brand. Their oatmilk is probably the nicest tasting you can get in the standard/every day grocery store here in Montreal. So, I was excited to see they were doing canned Matcha Oat Milk lattes!
I will say, if you pour the matcha out of the can you can quickly see why packaging in clear plastic or glass was off the table. It’s a sickly and unattractive green/brown colour. However, the taste was okay! Definitely a little cooked seaweed/spinach which is never ideal for a matcha, but good sweetness level and I thought the ratio to oatmilk was nice too – strong enough that you don’t only taste oat milk but not so intense to cover either.
Overall… I’d call this fine leaning towards okay! Would work for me in a pinch.
_ I loathe that color when I see it in Matcha. Glad it was still drinkable though. The worst I ever had was from Sri Lanka. They make great tea but their ‘matcha’ it was scary
