Got good news on my possible health problem today.. yay! Hopefully the test results will prove even better.

To celebrate, an old favorite. I’m almost out of my 4 oz. bag already. I’ve never run out of a 4 oz. bag.. ever. So this must mean something good.

I was totally addicted to this stuff for the longest time. Lately I’ve been gravitating away from flavored tea but I still like it. Lots of coconut and just a little bit floral. Creamy and lush….

This sounds really good! I enjoyed Shanghai Orchid from Teavana; I’m adding this one to my list.

This seems to haved worked out to be a coconut tea day – I swear it wasn’t planned! :D

Mmm, I love the floral-coconut scent this tea has – so fragrantly delicious. One thing I noticed is that this tea leaves a bit of a dry-mouth feeling, particularly on the first steep (4 min).

A resteep (5 min) solidifies my opinion that this isn’t a good resteeping tea because, while it keeps its wonderful frangrance, the taste is weak and lacking.

When I opened the pouch to this I was expecting a floral smell.. not even close. I smelled something fruity… something familiar.. I had to look up the ingredients and found there was coconut in it! I had a hugh “AH HAH!” moment. The taste is sweet. I can pull out hints of coconut, some floral notes, and some sweet oolong. A very tasty tea!

I like coconut in tea as long as it is not overdone.

KallieBoo!

Today was a long day in the professional world: fancy clothes, big meeting, followed by dinner with clients, customers and my bosses. When dessert rolled around, I noticed a tea list, and how could I resist? I had not heard of this specific Mighty Leaf, though I knew the brand well, so I decided it would aid in digestion and make a fantastic tasting note.

The waiter kindly dropped off my (and two others’) tea bags in tea cups with saucers and spoons, but alas, no water. Impatient, I ripped open the bag, I am sure I looked nuts because I smelled the tea bag, mind you this is normal if it was wine, but whatever. The leaves are delicately packed in the silk satchel, they are not crushed, and there are small yellowish pieces amongst the leaves. The smell is floral-fruity, as in flowers that bear fruit, and coconut. Strange, intriguing, smells delicious. Where is the waiter with my water? There he is…Infused hot, four minutes, no additives. The flavor is subdued, you are still smelling the coconut, but you are only tasting oolong with a hint of fruity-floral at the end.

The tea flavor is delicate; the flower bearing fruit smell can be described as “powdery”, like it is an essence of the fruit and flowers without actually being in there. I did not taste coconut, but I was not upset. This overall was very good.

I acquired this tea in a swap with Amy Oh
Technically, this is a sachet not a bag, but I thought it would be the perfect way to finish up my day of bagged teas.
Mmmmm…Rose and Orchid teas? I am spoiling myself today:)
This brews up to a lovely golden tea, with a creamy floral and oolong odor.
What I love is that the floral does not overpower the oolong, it is still very present and hits the tongue first before the orchid makes itself known.
A lovely tea from a lovely person, Thank you Amy Oh!

Super-short note: I liked this. It wasn’t mind blowing, and the orchid taste and scent really came out for me on this oolong.

I have a bunch of this that I bought a while ago. It’s not too bad, actually. There is definitely an orchid taste.

I’m bagging it with one of these teabags that TeaEqualsBliss sent me ages ago. Which reminds me that I also have some notes on swap teas from her that I haven’t got around to typing up and posting yet.

This one smells like coconut. Very much like coconut actually. The bag is one of these big nylon things so I can see that it’s real leaves inside. Bit broken, but not your average teabag dust.

It’s the same aroma after steeping. Probably more coconut milk than coconut proper, but it’s close enough. I really like coconut milk in food, but I’m feeling a bit sceptical about it in tea. In spite of the fact that I’ve seen many of you have coconut-y favourites.

It’s not so bad on the flavour, though. This is actually quite nice. The primary flavour is the oolong from the darker end of the spectrum. Almost a bit earthy. Then on the swallow the coconut is there, waving a little flag and going ‘Coconut Was Here!’ Fairly long aftertaste of coconut too.

I like it, but I don’t love it. I’ve only had a few sips so far, but I suspect the coconut might become a bit cloying further down in the cup. It’s definitely not one for large amounts of tea, this, but it’s good for one cup. Or maybe just half a cup.

I don’t think I’ve had a coconut-y tea before. Interesting.

TeaEqualsBliss

Try a Coconut Pouchong…I LOVE it! It’s my favorite kind of Coconut flavored tea!

Angrboda

Nah, I’m not sure I’m really a coconut fan. It got a bit too coconut-y towards the end of the cup for me.

Primarily coconut, with light florals on a dark oolong base that’s dry and just a little earthy. There’s not nearly enough orchid for this to be an orchid oolong.

The coconut gets a little cloying towards the bottom of the cup, and hangs nutty in the aftertaste. I like this, but I don’t love it, and I definitly don’t find this as one I could handle in large amounts (so in that way, it’s probably good that it’s only decent for about two steeps)

Thanks for the sample momo!

Thanks LiberTEAS!!!

This is every bit of floral and coconut pairing you can image!

Whereas the aroma is a bit funky for me with those two side by side – the taste isn’t bad. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this is fairly satisfying!

The only difference is there seems to be a nutty aftertaste in addition to the other flavors! Not Bad!
