From Market Spice

A holiday favorite, this tea combines African RedBush and Mint and Caramel flavoring. Very unique indeed! High in anti-oxidants and naturally caffeine free.

Sipdown, 198. Except not really, because there are still teas from my swap with yssah that I haven’t added to my cupboard, but I am living in denial la la la la. This one also comes with from my swap with yssah, thanks!

I requested a sample of this one because I thought rose might help me enjoy rooibos more. Except I apparently didn’t look a the tea description. I tasted in and was like mint whaaaat? Yeah, there was some caramel, but mostly minty rooibos, and no rose. Then while logging this tea I noticed in the description it says mint and caramel flavor. Oh. Well. Still, if the name is Caramel Rose, I expect caramel and rose. This should really be called Caramel Mint.

IF this was Caramel Mint, it would be pretty decent. I don’t love minty teas, but it works fairly well with the rooibos overall. If you are looking for rose, look elsewhere.

This is such a weird blend (but one of the few rooibos that I enjoy)! It reminds me strongly of something from my childhood but I can’t put my finger on what…

I received a sample of this from Eva in our Mystery Swap. Thanks!

This one said rose, so of course I have been putting it off and putting it off because rose scares me. I brewed it up, started drinking and thought hmmm where is the rose. This too me has the redbush nutty taste, with a hint of sweet and a hint mint…. Mint, where is the mint coming from. Then I get on steepster and low and behold that is exactly what the descrition says, mint! Woohoo my tastebuds didn’t lie. I like it!

So after drinking this the entire night I was craving it. I had to up my rating quite a bit. When you go to bed thinking about a particular tea it must be good right?

’Here’s Hoping’ Teabox Round #4 – Tea #19

An interesting decaf choice – it’s supposedly caramel though I don’t see any of those caramel cubes. There are rose petals and apparently a little mint. The mint seems to only be noticeable at the top of the cup with mild rose flavors. There is an odd sweetness, not sure how that happens… apparently the “flavoring”. Both steeps were sweet but on the second steep, the rose and mint somehow disappeared completely.
