I scored this pu’er at the World Tea Expo, but it looks like LongRun sells their teas on Amazon.

This raw pu’er starts off with an unripe sour fruit flavor and smoke with a moderate dryness. With each infusion the pu’er gets more peachy sweet with wisps of smoke. Lots of tea drunk in this one as I had constant thoughts of Bigfoots.

I steeped this with boiling water, though I think I need to try it with cooler water for less dryness.

Bigfoots lol

I’m considering purchasing one of their fermented cakes from Amazon. 357 grams is a lot of tea to have if it isn’t good though.

Oolong Owl

I tasted one of their ripe cakes at WTE, I don’t which one it was but it was so so. Too bad they don’t do samples of the cakes. I got a whole bunch of instant pu’er and pu’er tea bag samples though (I question how those will taste!)

curlygc

Oh dear, instant pu’er sounds…. nope, lol! I went ahead and ordered the 2011 Chun Hui ripe cake. Will post a review here once I get it. If it’s a halfway decent morning drinker, I’ll be happy.

I just finished off a 2011 Chun Hui ripe cake. It was great. Very rich, creamy and delicious. If you don’t like it I’ll glady buy it from you @curlygc :)

Oolong Owl

Oooh that sounds good @Brian! Now I’m tempted too

I will let you both know if it doesn’t work out, I’m always up for a tea trade. It just got delivered today and I’m still at work (not working, clearly), so I’ve not had a chance to try it. Ah, new tea… makes every day like Christmas!
