From Great British Tea Store

This White Peony (Pai Mu Tan) tea is produced in Kenya. It’s Crested Crane Extra Special grade. The leaves are carefully selected and plucked on rain free days and then gently withered. This tea is small batch crafted and sorted by hand. Kenya is mostly known for its black teas, but its white teas combine the malty feel its black teas are famous for with peachy white notes. Brewed up this tea is amber in colour with golden green highlights.

I believe this was my first experience with straight white tea! This brewed up to a very pale, golden liquid with a light floral scent. The flavor was quite mild, with floral and vegetal notes and just a hint of sweetness. It was pleasant, but not something I would really gravitate toward again, as I prefer a stronger flavor.

I really enjoy white peony in general – it is really interesting floral flavor that is somehow also very fresh without having citrus, and I like it hot and iced. This brand has a good one, or at least it tastes as good as any other I have had. I recommend giving it a taste if you want something fresh.
