Spiced Sugar Plum

I don’t know what spiced plum is supposed to taste like, but I bought it out of curiosity. To be honest, it’s not my favourite. I do get fruity plum, with that dark, dank note or whatever it is that you get with plums. And I also get cinnamon. Not as much cinnamon as a cinnamon spice spice tea though.

I think my problem is that I’m not that into plums? And I should have known that? Oh well. It’s only an oz. :P

When I first took a sip of this, I thought I accidentally took the cup of tea that I had brewed for my husband (a hibiscus blend). But, nope. This tea just tastes very much like hibiscus. But fear not hibiscus-haters! It is a very mellow tart-free hibiscus flavor. I suppose it is supposed to be plum, really. The spices are not particularly strong.

Not a bad cup of tea, really, but I don’t know about repurchasing since I prefer not to have a lot of sugary teas in my cupboard. Especially since this tea doesn’t taste sugary, but i can see the sugar pieces in it. If I’m going to have sweets, they had better at least taste like sweets :D

This was another tea purchased on black Friday and I am not disappointed in this one. The dry smell is sweet and spicy; it reminds me of the holidays! It brewed wonderfully, though I felt this needed a touch of sweetener. I can taste the plum along with the spices, while the black tea base is more mellow. I cannot imagine drinking this one everyday, but I am happy to have it around this time of the year! Now to try to force myself to start my paper and discussion boards that are due tomorrow. :-/

This tea was…not very memorable.

Of course, I’m having a bad day. One in which nothing went as it was supposed to.

So….I won’t rate this because maybe it’s not the tea’s fault.

However, we may never know since I drank all of the sample Ost sent me. :(

I’m finding that I haven’t liked as many of Della Terra’s teas as I’d hoped I would.
