I love gingerbread, in fact, one could probably go so far as to say that I’m a gingerbread snob. For me, gingerbread needs to include a handful of things, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, vanilla, and molasses. Then of course there is the butter and sugar.
I was a bit worried about trying this tea, it just didn’t seem to have enough of the ingredients that I have come to expect in gingerbread and I was right. There were both sweet and creamy aspects to the tea that managed to remind me somewhat of butter and sugar. However, there wasn’t enough spice in this for me and the pineapple and currants seem like an odd addition which left me thinking this tasted more like fruit cake than gingerbread.
Mmmm, chips with dill pickle dip are my favorite. I haven’t had that in so many years… Sigh.
Sometimes there just isn’t any answer for stress other than junk food.
Jessie…. I’ve been good about not having that crap in the house, or ignoring it when my other half buys it…but man, right this second I am sooooo glad for it.
Nicole – heck yeah! Though I’d totally trade you some junk food for a tea party ;)
Yep, I never have it in the house. I live alone, so it’s pretty easy to eat healthy foods all the time. But I get the occasional craving, and might have to indulge. That just sounds too good.
You will be pleased to know I bought a small tin of tea at a grocery store today.
Hahaha lol if nothing else this makes for more tea drinking fun :)
Sil: what happens in 11 days?
Dinosara: what kind of tea?
Terri – dinosara and I are having a friendly competition to see if I can get my cupboard caught up to hers before she gets back from vacation. I was at 280ish…she’s at 190ish?
Man you sure have a lot of tea to drink in the next 11 days!!
Terr: It’s a huckleberry white tea from a local blender. It sounded good so I couldn’t resist even though I haven’t tried it.
that does sound good dinosara!
whatshesaid – um i basically need 6-7 sipdowns a day hahahahahahahaha yeah…so not going to happen but i can try :)
Oops that was supposed to say Terri and not just Terr :P
I drink about five-six a day, you can do it! Just have smaller cups ;)
That’s ok, everyone in my family calls me Ter : )
We all speak in mono syllables when we’re around each other
Sil, really that’s 8-9 sip downs a day! Good luck…oh wait, who did I think I was talking to?
If anyone can do it, it’ll be you!!
And we’ll all be chanting you name, like a bunch of frat boys at a college beer chugging contest, “sil…sil…”
:D
Or you can start a traveling tea box, LOL
Two things I’ve never had:
1 – a huckleberry: I’m picturing double sized blueberry, but guessing its more along the lines of boysenberry or blackberry? That tea sounds lovely.
2 – dill pickle dip: what’s in it, besides dill pickles?
hahaha good plan terri! LOL
omg dill pickle dip is sooo good. It’s the philidelphia cream cheese dip. so uh cream chese and dill pickle. woooonderful with plain old regular chips.
ah….guess I’ll never have it, since I’m allergic to milk & all milk products…
Oh no Terri! Uh…does that include dairy in teas? Only ask so I can make sure not to send you any with dairy in it.
