From DAVIDsTEA

It’s back!

In the 1950s, Saigon cinnamon was one of the finest spices on the market. But then came the Vietnam War, and exports ground to a halt. Half a century later, it’s finally comeback time. Prepare for dark, sweet perfection. This blend of Assam tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves and pink peppercorns is on another level of delicious. Try it iced, Viet-style, with sweetened condensed milk. (MK Kosher)

Organic: Fair Trade Certified Assam black tea, Saigon cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, pink peppercorns. With organic and natural flavouring*.

I received this as a free sample from Davids Tea from my last online order. It took me a couple of sips to get used to the spicy chai kick but it was good. My favorite chai is still Pumpkin Chai (hopefully DT will bring it back this fall).

Damn here we got a serious Chai!

I usually think that the cinnamon flavor is always too much present in Chai teas, but in this one, the superstar is the spices!

This is a wonderfully aromatic tea that reminds me of my time in India this past fall. I am the owner of koko chocolates (www.kokochocolates.ca) and use this tea in my new Masala Chai truffle. The wonderful cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon in this tea make for a ganache that will warm your palette.
