From DAVIDsTEA

Discover its power

Chamomile may seem like an ordinary herb, but it is really very special. Did you know people have been drinking it since the ancient Egyptians, Romans, and Greeks? And every kid has enjoyed a cup before bedtime. It’s been sipped for thousands of years for thousands of reasons. Probably the best reason is its aromatic, calming taste. Caffeine free. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Organic Egyptian chamomile.

Not a huge fan of chamomile normally, but this blend isn’t bad – something about the flavour feels a bit off, but as a non-chamomile drinker most of the time, I don’t know exactly what this is missing, haha. This one likely won’t make it back to the re-purchase pile, but again, I’m not unhappy I tried it.

I should probably preface this with the fact that I don’t so much drink chamomile as I use it…It’s typically something I grab and drink without thinking because my melatonin isn’t knocking me out fast enough.

With that said, though, this is a remarkably tasty chamomile. It has the light, floral honey notes that I’m used to backed by a surprising depth of golden flavour that really lingers on the tongue in a soothing sort of way.

Tasty and effective. I approve. :)

Every insomniac needs to keep at least 100g of this stuff in their cupboard. A foolproof sleep aide, needs no sweetener but smells of honey and flowers, and will have you dozing in 30 minutes or so. A little messy to clean out as the flowers disintegrate into a mushy powder with each steep. And, if you don’t like chamomile – which is a category I definitely fall into – you’ll love this. Take it from me.

This is quite different than any tea I’ve had before. It’s like drinking flowers! The taste doesn’t discust me or anything, it’s just..strange. I think I would buy this simply because of health benefits and such.
