From DAVIDsTEA

If you want a straightforward, traditional chai, this is the blend for you. It’s a simple, perfectly balanced combination of Indian black tea, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Delicious when brewed on its own, and even more delicious when simmered in steaming hot milk on the stove. Why overcomplicate things?

Ingredients: Organic black tea, cinnamon, cloves, natural flavouring

It tastes just as the name says-like chai tea. I don’t drink too much black tea anymore due to stomach issues but this is nice for those who like chai teas.

Sipdown #13! This was a free sample with my DT online order. I prepared it in a proper chai fashion, on the stove and whisked with milk and a dollop of honey, and it was simply delicious.

Flavors: Cinnamon

Smells and tastes like those little red cinnamon heart candies you get at Valentine’s day. The Cinnamon is overpowering. I tend to like a more Cardamom and Clove flavoured Chai.

As a latte with frothed vanilla almond milk and sugarfree Torani vanilla syrup. So heavenly.

So hi!
I had my 3rd relapse not long after getting out of the hospital in May. In September, a few weeks after walking out of my job (due to horrible managerial abuse), I fainted on my kitchen floor and was forced back to emergency. I was 65 pounds, again. Since it was so soon after my discharge they refused to let me back into IP, told me I was anemic, and sent me home. I realized that I now had two choices: recover on my own, or die. I came to the conclusion that I really don’t want to waste my life like this.
So I’ve been recovering at home ever since and making huge progress while following the guidelines of a wonderful website I’ve been reading. I’ve learned more about my illness than I ever have before and my attitude towards food has never been better. I’ve been seeing a therapist on an outpatient basis and he seems to think that this time I’m going into permanent remission.

I just had my first cuppa in quite a while and remembered how much I love the stuff. So it brought me back here for a visit. <3

welcome back Yvonne. Hope you’ll get better soon and leave your illness behind for ever.

I won’t rate this one, as I’m not a fan of black tea. I do, however, love all chai spices, so I thought I’d give it a try.

With the addition of lots of sugar and almond milk it was palatable, but reinforced my lack of desire to drink black tea.

I was pleasantly surprised with this tea. It came as a sample, and I was finished it within an evening. It’s a good, spicy chai that smells as good as it tastes: a combination of cloves, cinnamon, and other spices I wasn’t familiar with. I’d recommend steeping for five minutes or more (if you like a spicy chai). The leaves can be reused only once without losing taste. I’d give it a 90/100.

This is the best chai tea i have had in a long while, mind you have yet to try a lot of chai teas, but either way the smell and the taste of this tea is amazing. The nutmeg and cinnamon make this tea sweet and would probably be even better with milk.

I really enjoyed this tea. Lots of cinnamon. The flavor reminded me of Bigelow Cinnamon stick tea. To me it’s more of a cinnamon tea than a chai. I like to drink this in the morning. Today I added some milk and French vanilla creamer :)
(This also reminds me of dentyne fire gum!)

I love chai so I am always up for trying new ones but unfortunately this one will not make it back on my to buy list. I want my Chais to have complex flavours of all the different spices but this one just tastes of Cinnamon and frankly that makes it a little boring.

This taste just like black tea with cinnamon. I don’t get how we call it Chai if there is no Cardamon???
