This came out a little strange for me. It’s an unremarkable light black tea with artificial-tasting berry. Not peachy enough. Oh wait, I totally forgot this had rose in it. For some reason, rose sometimes tastes weirdly sour to me in tea. So I’ll blame the weirdness on the rose since I like Cuppa Geek’s flavoring in general and haven’t really had these problems before.

CuppaGeek Advent Calendar, December 23

It’s almost end of Advent Season and yet I am first one who writes about this tea?
Anyway, a very interesting blend — peach and raspberries aren’t common; on black tea base with a rose.

It’s tasty. Not my super-favourite tea to have a big stash of, but it’s nice. All three notes are there. Mostly the last one, rose followed with raspberrry fruitiness and juicyness. Yep, I felt it is a bit juicy. The peach is there too, though could imagine bit more present — but that would probably clash with raspberry flavour.

It was enjoyable, but bit weak. Maybe I am used to very fruity teas recently.

I’m not a rose fan, but this one sounds good. Juicy raspberries are one of my favourites.

Seems odd but this calendar still has teas for Christmas Day and New Years so I am sure more notes will pop up one of those days :)

So silly story but when I blended this tea up, I wanted a certain kind of cookie that a bakery around me excels at (a raspberry peach thumbprint cookie) but is always sold out. This tea blend was a way for me to curve that craving. :)

Nichole: I love those little “behind the scenes” comments. Then it makes sense why the tea is like that! I had to search what kind of cookie it is and I can imagine being it superb!

Martin You are too sweet! I hoped they would come off charming and not annoying. Haha. There is literally a story behind every tea I blend. From making it for a client or my nieces to I oopsed and accidentally combined two teas together, but it turned out pretty good :)

Martin Bednář

But that is part of the story of the tea blend. And that is amazing to hear!

Wow, how is the peach, raspberry, rose combination not used in more teas?

Martin Bednář

Maybe it’s too crazy to think it would work altogether?
