From Bird & Blend Tea Co.

We love all things peachy here at B&B, so we thought it was about time to pay homage to the classic summer dessert!

Traditionally made with peaches, raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream, we’ve blended naturally sweet rooibos with vanilla notes & chunks peach for brew that hits the spot!

Ingredients: Rooibos, Apple Pieces, Hibiscus, Freeze-Dried Peach, Rosehip, Orange Peel, Natural Flavouring

#battleofthepeaches

Second place cold brew in terms of collection ranking, but very close with the one that I chose for third place…

I expected to enjoy this one, though not as much – it also still had some surprises to it. It’s the only rooibos in the collection but I visibly didn’t see a lot of rooibos in the leaf that I had measured out for the collection so it was very surprising how intense that flavour was in the infused tea. Really forward and strong rooibos flavour, which is a bit mineral and a bit nutty like hazelnuts, which might be a turn off to some but I happen to really enjoy the grade of rooibos that Bird and Blend uses in their teas…

Aside from that strong flavour, it’s a good marriage between three complimentary flavours; peach, raspberry and cream/vanilla. Definitely all three come through, and yes it leans a little artificial (especially in terms of the cream flavouring) but I still enjoy it. It gives me Campino/yogurt candy vibes a little bit. There’s hibiscus in this so a latte is a no go, but it’s the type of flavour profile that really feels like it would work well as one.

Enjoyed this a lot!

i wasn’t sure i’d be ok with this one as i’ve been REALLY off of “peach” for a while. However i actually didn’t mind this one though that’s likely because it didn’t taste like peach at all lol. Just a fruity melange of some sorts haha Thanks variaTEA

Cold Brew Sipdown (294)

Last time I had this, it was like cough syrup. This time it was like bad medicinal rooibos. Normally with caffeine free teas I drink the bad ones just to get the hydration but this was so bad, it got dumped.

What also got dumped? Another cold brew bottle. This time my little one. I fell over while drying…twice…and cracked. So that’s two cold brew bottles broken.

Bad day, huh?

I’ve had better lol

Oh no! RIP Cold Brew Bottle :(

Not another bottle! darn. And I get it with those bad caffeine free teas – at least they are hydrating.

I have been icing my not so favorite teas to guzzle with supper. My husband pushed the last one away and said, “That’s not really my thing!” Ha ha! Mine either, but I drank to not be wasteful, and I didn’t hate it!

Quite heavy leafed with my classical set up. 7 grams for my 300 ml glass cup.
And SIPDOWN! – That I guess is main reason why I have used so many. However, I am kind of disappointed. It was good tea, with nice feeling of peach with cream on top. As well some ice cream notes were there. Raspberries were bit bland though, but it is very probably badly mixed all together and I put lots of raspberries to others. Because my sister-in-law as well my brother were saying that it is amazing blend of peach and raspberries and it works quite well together. They also liked the idea it is caffeine-free peach tea.

It is note bad tea, just expecting bit more I guess.

I am a sucker for a good fruity, creamy, peachy dessert tea, and this blend most surely delivered. The raspberry was light and the cream was not overwhelming but they both complimented the peach nicely. I could get a nice light hibiscus flavor through each sip as well that really took the tea to a whole new level.
This tea was sweet, and did not need any sort of sweetener or milk added to it.
I would have liked a little more of a vanilla flavor somewhere in there just to turn the creaminess from a sweet cream to an ice cream

additional notes: Just wanted to say, this one is really really good. I’m sad B&B doesn’t sell it anymore and I don’t have much remaining!

There’s something a little strange about this tea when it’s hot. The peach is pleasant, but there’s also another flavor in there that’s kind of weird. It definitely tastes better cold. Actually, it tastes really good cold. I’ve been leaving it in the fridge overnight to have in the morning, and the peach and pastry flavor is fantastic. I steeped it for way too long, and that didn’t even make the rooibos weird. Very pleased. Just drink it cold.
