I bought this cheapie during the sale. I love when they have some limited edition teas for sale. It’s the time to try them! I don’t think I’d be interested in this one if it wasn’t on sale, but I’m glad I grabbed some because it is tasty and unique… a flavor profile I’ve never had before. It’s oolong that I can hardly see in the blend with tons of shredded rose petals and huge cascara coffee cherries. I think I had one tea in the past with cascara coffee cherries but it was old. I used two teaspoons and I think that is the correct amount for a mug, as the cascara coffee cherries are huge and I wanted to make sure a couple bundles of oolong went into the infuser. The flavor is not what you’d expect. The main flavor is just a sweet creaminess. It’s very odd with these ingredients… with maybe the subtlest hint of rose. I’m glad it’s not overwhelming rose. I want to say there is a hint of cherry blossom or cherry to the blend, but I could be mind-controlled by the “Cascara Coffee CHERRIES”. It certainly doesn’t taste like coffee. All these ingredients sure fill up the infuser basket. I think it’s a well-balanced blend, and a flavor profile I haven’t found anywhere else. All three steeps were the exact same flavor.
Steep #1 // 2 teaspoons for a full mug // 20 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 10 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #3 // just boiled // 2 min
