I’m excited to see Bigelow releasing bolder flavors and picked this up the first time I noticed it on the supermarket shelf.

The combination of Turmeric and Chili Powder in drinks is certainly trendy/trending.

I can also get behind the “Benefits” marketing language, “put good things in our bodies to help us stay strong.”

I enjoyed this tea, although it has more nettle and lemongrass flavor than I was expecting from the box description.

The Matcha green tea itself seems to be reasonably decent quality. Not surprising for low-cost matcha, I’m unable to get a second steep out of the bag.

I’ve tried it straight, and I’ve also tried it with a little honey mixed in, both are tasty.

I thought this combination of flavors could potentially come off harsh and bitter, but it’s actually quite delicious. It’s definitely not as astringent as I expected— the pepper hits you first but it’s pretty mild, then you taste the green tea, and then something savory and herbal. I drink this plain… it might taste weird with sugar. Green tea can sometimes give me an upset stomach, but this one doesn’t.

Quite a daring combo! This is the kind of tea I would be to afraid to try without making sure that somebody else had tried it and lived to tell the tale.
