From Alvita

Holy basil (Ocimum sanctum L.) also known as Tulsi in Hindi, is one of India’s most sacred herbs, and is treated with reverence in daily ceremonial use. The herb is also a popular culinary ingredient as well as one of the primary herbs used in Ayurveda, and has traditionally been used by herbalists for its adaptogenic properties.*

Alvita Holy Basil Tea is made with premium-quality, organic holy basil leaves, and has a slightly spicy aroma and flavor with just a hint of clove.

Place one tea bag in a cup and add 8 oz of boiling water. Cover and steep for 3 minutes. Gently squeeze tea bag and remove.

Oh, now this is the best tulsi! Pungent, herbal-sweet, clove-dominant. That’s incredible. There are strong peppery-cinnamon and licorice-basil notes, too. Really tingles my tongue. In fact, the citrusy aftertaste and tingle feels like Sichuan peppercorns.

Saying this isn’t going to do any favors, but something about it reminds me of working at the bowling alley. The shoe disinfectant?
