From 52teas

This was one of my favorite tisanes that I crafted over this past holiday season. This is another that I crafted for Amoda Tea. It’s a blend of green rooibos, pears, apples, cranberries, juniper berries, oranges, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves & hibiscus … plus a touch of brandy & champagne essence to give it a touch of “Sangria”. (Don’t worry, it’s alcohol free!)

The flavor is sweet, tart & fruity with just enough brandy & champagne notes to keep things interesting. The warmth of the cinnamon & clove is subtle, just enough to give it a holiday-ish flavor. The medley of fruit is delightful. When I sip on this, it evokes thoughts of a tasty holiday punch that would appear at holiday parties when I was a kid. You know, the kind that the adults would serve in the fancy punch bowl & they’d let you have just a little bit … not too much because of the alcohol in it but just enough to give you a taste of something special.

This blend is VEGAN, organic, gluten-free, allergen-free, alcohol free & naturally caffeine free! It’s a fun, sweet, delightful blend that’ll bring a smile to your face.

organic ingredients: green rooibos, cranberries, apples, pears, oranges & orange peel, juniper berries, cinnamon, clove, hibiscus & natural flavors

Pretty heavy on the bubblegum notes here, but likely because it’s not also stevia-laden, I actually kind of liked the result. Probably should try drinking it warm though – this cup had definitely cooled to room temp by the time I finally managed to drink it.

Sipdown

For some reason I wasn’t excited about this one but I am really enjoying it. It’s juicy and spiced and just delicious. Best hot but still nice when cooled. Hotter it was nice citrusy clove and as it cools, a lot of pear has come through. No base, which is my preference. This is one I’d have again for sure.

I have just a few of these left in inventory – I know that the holidays seem a long way off now, but it really is good on this chilly evening. (Or, I guess … morning) Of the three tisanes that I crafted for Amoda’s boxes this past holiday season, this one is my favorite … which is kinda weird for me to say since – you know – hibiscus? Yeah, hibiscus is not my favorite thing out there in the world of “tea” but I like the way it works here. It adds enough texture to the cup without tasting like it’s funky-weird hibiscus-y self. I taste fruit (orange, cranberry, apple & pear) & spices (cinnamon & clove & a hint of juniper berry) but not hibiscus. I don’t even really taste the rooibos. I just taste something that reminds me of holiday punch that would be found at adult holiday parties when I was a kid – the kind that they would serve in the fancy punch bowls. Yummy!

Sipdown (816)!

This was another Kittenna share – I debated ordering the 52Teas from the Amoda box but I’d ordered so much tea lately that I opted against it. I’m really glad I still got this chance to try the ones I was most interested in, though!

This is really good – I’m noticing that in general I seem to really like the rooibos/honeybush blends from 52Teas. Well, excluding the butterscotch one from earlier today. It’s a trend I didn’t realize I had though, but now that I think about it a lot of the 52Teas blends I think about most fondly use that base…

This does capture the feeling of a Sangria – though a very citrus forward one. It’s giving me “fancy orange juice” or “fancy orange punch” vibes in basically the best way; juicy and sweet, but has those deeper notes that I want in a sangria over a citrus or berry tartness/acidity and ‘high note’. That really helps sell me on the flavour as an accurate representation of the concept!

I basically guzzled this tea – it was great! So, thank you Kittenna for sharing!

Kittenna

Glad you enjoyed! I strongly got bubblegum with this one, which wasn’t overly appealing.
