This tea is one I crafted for Amoda Tea. It is SO good! Delicious, warmly spiced gingerbread notes with sweet, slightly tangy apple flavor with a honey-sweet, slightly nutty honeybush base – a perfect blend to cozy up any time of the day.

This blend begins with our organic, naturally caffeine-free honeybush & combined it a little bit of rooibos – just enough to round out the flavor. Then I added a bunch of freeze-dried apples, gingerbread spices (ginger root, cinnamon, cloves & nutmeg) & just a hint of gingerbread essence to give the blend a warm, wonderful, freshly-baked quality.

This one is available in very limited quantities & because it was crafted for Amoda as an exclusive blend, it will not be reblended again (unless Amoda requests it). Grab it while you can! Yes, it’s organic, VEGAN, gluten-free, caffeine-free & allergen free!

This one is on the website now, but there are very limited quantities of it remaining. I love this blend – I realized that I consumed all of my stash (save for one serving) before I managed to get it on the website (I really thought I had already added this one) – but apparently I was writing tasting notes in my head and not on Steepster. Fortunately, I did have just enough to snap a photo of the tea & then enjoy my last cuppa.

I love the way the apple & the gingerbread play in this. I don’t taste much from the honeybush or rooibos – what they do contribute to the taste melds with the gingerbread notes and it plays off as a mildly nutty, honey-ish taste to enhance the molasses-y brown sugar notes from the gingerbread. The spices are mild but they play to a warm spice set for the gingerbread. Every few sips, my palate notices more apple than gingerbread, so it comes off as a warm apple cider taste. Really nice.

This smells better brewed up than it did right out of the packet. It’s actually a fairly nice, very lightly gingery spiced apple flavour – it does remind me both of apple cider and gingerbread. Not my favourite flavour combination, but I’m pretty sure I’m enjoying it more than I did the first time I tried it (and more than I had expected to). Upping rating from 64 to 74.

Spoiler alert for those who don’t want to know anything about the 52Teas included in Amoda’s caffeine free box!

What a delightful blend! I still have not tried all the flavours but I do love this one a lot. It has some great rooibos and honeybush notes, lots of warm winter spices, and some wonderful dried apple notes (sweet, dried fruit, apple). Totally delicious and a great cup on yet another rainy day (three in a row now!)
