4 Tasting Notes
When I opened the package it smelled of orange – the scent of orange was amazing. I was looking forward to this tea. I steeped it for 4 min and it still had a strong orange scent. But once I tried it I wasn’t too sure. Maybe it was the ginger – I am not a fan… There is something about this tea that doesn’t make me a fan. I am still drinking it, now it is cold and it still has that weird taste, well at least for me. I don’t think I will be getting this one again.
First drinking a pu’erh tea, so I didn’t know what to expect. The first time I steeped it, it was so dark like a black coffee. The first sip was very strange – I couldn’t put my finger on it. I usually like fruity teas so I don’t add any sweeteners. I had some International Delight Caramel Macchiato, which I added that to this tea and it made a huge difference. I loved this mix.
I steeped it a second time and liked it even more. I would love to try this iced.
Preparation
This is the second oolong tea that I have tried. During the first steep the fruity aromas were pretty strong. I nice peach smell… I wasn’t too sure what to expect – I found that it was a bit strong and I could have sweetened it but I didn’t. Today i steeped it again and have to say that I liked it the second time around better than the first!
I was quite disappointed by this tea. I found it pretty weak, maybe I didn’t steep it long enough. Recently I had tried Pom Power from David’s Tea and really liked the tart taste of the pomegranate. I couldn’t taste it in this one. Will try brewing it again and letting it steep longer and see if it will taste better.
