Moroccan Pomegranate Red Tea

This has been so very comforting to have at work in the afternoons…am a little sad to see it go, but it’s nice to be decupboarding it!!

First I tried this tea hot and didn’t like it. It tastes artificial. Nothing like pomegranate. I tried it tonight iced and it tastes much better. It tastes fruity but smells like cough syrup. I will finish off the box now that I know it’s good iced, but I will not buy it again. As a long time rooibos fan, I am disappointed.

My brother actually got this tea for my mom for Christmas and she pawned it off on me because I love pomegranate.

Despite not usually doing teabags, I was pretty excited to try this. Celestial seems to be making a move in the right direction with their “no strings attached” and the tea itself smelled heavenly.

…It smells better than it tastes.

This isn’t the worst tea I’ve ever had by any stretch of the imagination, but it isn’t what I was hoping for either. It’s a strong woodsy rooibos with an artificially sweet pomegranate flavoring. Most definitely not a tea for those teetering on rooibos’ edge.

I’m willing to give this tea another try (I have an entire box after all) but I’d sooner market it as a fruit enhanced rooibos than as pomegranate tea.

Just the right amount of tang. My kid says it smells like cough medicine, though.

I was quite disappointed by this tea. I found it pretty weak, maybe I didn’t steep it long enough. Recently I had tried Pom Power from David’s Tea and really liked the tart taste of the pomegranate. I couldn’t taste it in this one. Will try brewing it again and letting it steep longer and see if it will taste better.

I’m sorry this review isn’t more detailed, but I have to say:

When sweetened with honey (the way I take most of my tea) this smells and tastes of olives.

Not an unpleasant flavor, but not one I want in my tea. It’s also too weak for my tastes.

Not my favorite tea. Weak flavor but a good background for iced tea when blending with other stronger tea. A little acidic…lemony. Not really spicy.

This was my first tea love as a maturing adult. I’d sweeten it to kingdom come until it tasted like Hawaiian Punch. Later on, I learned to tone down the sweetener, and it’s not half bad.
