I love earl grey and I love vanilla, I really just didn’t care for this one. I tried it twice with different steeping times (7 minutes vs. 4 minutes) – and I still didn’t like it. It wasn’t disgusting – I just couldn’t taste the earl grey nor the vanilla.

Very disappointed and ended up giving it away – I’m hoping that Teavana’s Lavender Creme would be good!

I absolutely LOVED this tea when I sampled it at Teavana in Ontario Mills but it was much too sweet for me. It was 1 for 1 ice tea afternoon, so I asked for one without sugar. I promptly went back and bought 50g (it’s pricey!), and drank that throughout my stay in California.

I loved the tea so much that when I heard Teavana was closing down, I asked my friend to pick me up 300g from Canada for me, and then 100g for my nephew. She ended up getting me 500g total because there was a promotion. This is still my go to ice tea, but rather than hot steep + ice, I cold-steep it. It’s now more sugary than I like, so I dilute it a bit with water. I will try to make a fruity ice tea with this and another tea from my cupboard.

The first few tried, I had this hot steeped and I really didn’t like it. It was bitter and burnt, without much of a chocolate or orange flavour.

However, adding hot water to the tea an cold steeping it over night, and then diluting the tea with hot water the next day really helped bring out the chocolate flavour. I did have to scoop out the frozen lipids from the chocolate chip.

The new way of drinking this made it tolerable, but I would not re-order.

Through my obsession with mugs, I began my foray into teas when I added some tea into my basket to make free shipping.

I prefer my black teas with milk (and no sugar), and green teas straight up.
