Ahhh.. can’t go wrong with this one in the mornings.. I recently (as in 2 days ago) received a tin from two different people (!) for my birthday.. I know. Weird. This is the official drink between coffee and tea for those of you who are interested to know what that would be, and its pretty much fantastic! Anyway, thanks guys, love it!

Brewed this in the Breville at boiling for 3.5 min and just added a splash of half n half with creamer.. it came out to the perfect sweetness. I’m not into boiling with the brown sugar and whole milk.. I can better taste all the flavors instead of overpowering sugar.

This does smell very pancake-ey and almost liquor-like when opening up the package. I’m not exactly sure what the marigold does for taste, but it gives the blend a nice yellow highlight. Upon first sip, I noticed the medium sweetness after which a mellow buttery aftertaste came around. I added a splash of cream, and o man… this stuff is an awesome pick for morning time.

First time tasting this. I actually think I almost forgot that I had it.. ::h o w e v e r:: I am very glad I went with this one today! I’m really into coconut right now, so this was an obvious choice, but the blend of rooibos and black makes it very smooth (and I over steeped it, doh!) Had I used my Breville Tea Maker, that would not have happened, but since this blend does have cacao, I would prefer not to introduce any sugars to the pot. BUT, I still used the Breville to heat my water to 212 deg.. and it was ready in a snap. After I poured the water over the tea to steep, the tea maker kept time for me with its handy “time since brewed” indicator. It would have been less fail had I not walked away.. but whatever. It came out perfectly yummy. I might add that upon opening the canister, you do get a bit of a punch of that cacao scent over everything else, which made me think the flavor would’ve been more pronounced—but it was balanced perfectly. Funny how that works out… I am adding this one to my favorites. Seems like I have quite a few now.. and I am realizing most of them are black.. :D

Backlogging on this one. I first drank this a few days after receiving it a couple weeks ago. It was the first blend my husband (the coffee drinker) was interested in trying! yay Reason being is that it’s blended with whole coffee beans as well as almond slivers which gives it a slightly nutty layer but still tastes quite similar to that cuppa jo he enjoys. This blend is also great because the coffee beans give you that next level of kick above black. I’m glad I found this because we can finally enjoy a cup of tea together in the morning <3
